[QUOTE="SoRawr2"][QUOTE="Parasomniac"]MS committed self ownage.Anjunaddict
yeah, i don't know why they seem intent on hurting themselves, considering they've been trying to raise the exclusive count on the Xbox 360 from last year, but yet they turn around and knock off Fable 3?
you would think if that wasn't a certainty they'd atleast try to push for a 2010 release with Gears of War 3, but you'd be wrong.
By releasing Fable on 2 platforms that they support, they are not hurting themselves. Fable 3 available to more people = more money for microsoft. In the real world, Microsoft wins, and any cow on here who buys Fable 3 for their high end PC should be reminded that they are supporting Microsoft lol I don't blame them, i would owned my self a long time ago if that means getting more money.[QUOTE="ohthemanatee"][QUOTE="SoRawr2"]
no, that'd be stupid because this is System Wars, and not the real world.
seriously, c'mon, atleast attempt to hide the obvious bias :lol:.
SaltyMeatballs
so this thread is just a sad attempt at claimin some system wars ownage? This just keeps getting better and better :lol:
Pretty much. 360 lost an exclusive which isn't even out yet. Works out well though, because cows have always labelled the Fable series a flop. At least now, it won't be an exclusive flop when it releases :P[QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]
so this thread is just a sad attempt at claimin some system wars ownage? This just keeps getting better and better :lol:
SoRawr2
last time i checked this was System Wars.
Lemmings apparently are now changing it to "Fanboy Wars" or even worse, "Company Wars".
:roll:
you're the one claiming that a game being on more then one system is a bad thing. If anything you're the one starting the fanboy war ;)
Oh right, so thats all this thread was? :lol: At least you understand that really, this is good for Microsoft, but whatever, continue ...Anjunaddict
ok, i'll take the bait.
when the inevitable "So which System had the better games this year?" topic pops up, and the thread's original intention turns to the "exclusives" discussion, what is the Xbox 360 going to have to list?
Alan Wake and Halo: Reach?
that's absurdity considering that is the same amount of exclusives the Xbox 360 had last year (2), and this year was being hyped as the "Year of the Xbox 360".
note: the "Year of the Xbox 360", not the "Year of the Xbox 360/PC!"
Damn so what's the 360's exclusive lineup looking like now? Boy did 2010 go downhill in terms of exclusives.TintedEyesYou forgot one little important piece of information :wink:

I hope so. I really like the Fable series, but the last one was so annoyingly unpolished. The framerate when going about the city was poor, and by the time I'd reached the end of the game, I would refuse to go into my inventory cause it took forever to load. A pc version would eliminate all those problems and make the experience much better.
[QUOTE="warmaster670"]
[QUOTE="KaoSXFACTOR"]
Yeah use a game who's developer is owned by the same publisher, and try to claim it as a blow. :roll:
KaoSXFACTOR
lemmings need to get over the fact that pc/360 games arnt exclusive.
Cows need to learn that when developer who is owned by Microsoft, chooses to release a game on more than 1 platform, it's a good thing and not a blow. If you think otherwise you're being ridiculous.
Its a good thing for sure for gamers who don't own 360. Unlike MAC, PC is opened architecture that is not owned by Microsoft or a single entity. Besides OS, you need Graphics Card, mother board, keyboard, mouse etc which are built and sold by different vendors.
[QUOTE="ohthemanatee"] shh... don't spoil his fun :PSoRawr2
wow, you guys were indeed quick to form the Microsoft Damage Control Task Force (MDCTF).
there's atleast about three of the most prevalent Lemmings on SW in this one thread posing as "normal gamers" :lol:.
Says the ban-dodging/alt cow. Don't be a hypocrite.This topic is beyond fail. Trying to pit Windows against the 360 and claim ownage. Even after knowing the developer of the game is also owned by Microsoft!
LMAO!

yeah, apparently it's now the:
"Year of the Xbox 360/PC!"
well, atleast that leaves 2011 with
"Year of the PS3/PSP!" :lol:
[QUOTE="Anjunaddict"]Okay then, explain how this will hurt the Xbox 360? :) And I mean in the real world, not in terms of exclusive counts on system wars.SoRawr2

yeah, let's all believe this guy.
:lol:
You think putting a :lol: in every single one of your posts strengthens your failed argument? That's actually really something to laugh about. Nothing I said previously was false.
[QUOTE="SoRawr2"][QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]
Right, because stating that Microsoft launching a Microsoft game on two microsoft systems is "hurting themselves"
And on top if it all, stating that considering that none of this has been confirmed.
If anything you're just now realizing how flawed your original argument is and now you're passing logic as "Damage controll"
Anjunaddict
yeah, that'd all be nice if i had actually mentioned the PS3.
it's DC because you are trying to negate potential damage to the Xbox 360 by either saying that "it doesn't matter, PC and Xbox 360 are brothers!" or even worse using the mentality that you can throw around PS3 comparisons in order to take the attention away.
Okay then, explain how this will hurt the Xbox 360? :) And I mean in the real world, not in terms of exclusive counts on system wars.This isn't the real world, though. This IS System Wars. So whether it will hurt MS in the real world is irrelevant. Here on System Wars, it would be one less exclusive. It's pretty funny how things flip flop around here from year to year. 3 or 4 years ago, AAAE count was one of Lemmings' favorite conversation topics.You think putting a :lol: in every single one of your posts strengthens your failed argument? That's actually really something to laugh about. Nothing I said previously was false.
KaoSXFACTOR
seriously, how four Lemmings can band together to try to DC what wasn't intended to be a PS3 vs. 360 debate, and then turn around and throw accusations about others being Cows, is beyond me.
and no, i'm using these smileys because for once, a thread is actually funny. i mean, c'mon! we've adopted two new terms in one topic!:
"Year of the Xbox 360/PC"
and let's not forget "Year of the PS3/PSP".
:lol:
Fable 1 is on PC, but 2 not. I will look very strange. But PC was always treated like this, MGS for example: MGS, MGS2S, MGS Rising :lol:what happens to people who didn't play fable 1 and 2?

Your terms are flawed though, because no two platforms get exactly the same games do they? So two platforms can't "win the year" like you are saying. While the 360 and PC share a lot of games, there are still a load of games on the 360 that won't appear on the PC and vice versa. Seriously, was that too hard to understand?[QUOTE="KaoSXFACTOR"]

don't see why cows would care about this though. even if stuff like mass effect 2 and fable 3 come to the PC they still don't get to play them

I said it deserves a mention, but what has that got to do with anything?
And the reason the PS3/PSP was brought into it was because there is a same situation there, and you can't deny it. Sony has a load of IPs, some of which they have kept on the PS3 and some of which they put on both the PS3 and PSP. Microsoft does exactly the same, except with the PC and not a handheld. They put Fable on both platforms and will now be doing the same with Fable 3. Its seriously not as big a deal as people are trying to make it out to be.

no, i can't admit that, but i can admit that ever since you've entered this thread you've attempted atleast about every Damage Control technique in the book.
and about Alan Wake? how can you name it as one of the greatest if it hasn't even been released yet?
i'm calling it now, Gears of War 3 has one of the best videogame openings of all time. i mean, i read about it in GI, it must be true!

Halo Reach and Crackdown 2 are the only exclusives besides Alan Wake this year for the 360 that I know of. Kind of disappointing when you take into account the PS3 has already had MAG, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, MLB 10 The Show, 3-D Dot Game Heroes, and has Modnation, GT5, Little Big Planet 2, and Socom 4 on the way. Sony's first party dominated 09, and I think they are doing a great job in 10(on paper atleast). Personally 2008 was the last time Microsofts first party was atleast upto snuff with the PS3s. jg4xchampHaving lots of first party studios > Not having lots of first party studios. MS should gather teams from the start of this gen, but it looks like they prefer to spend money on 3-party "exclusives".
[QUOTE="Duckyindiana"]Yea its kinda ironic Maybe it's not a matter of company as it's a matter of not supporting the 360 or finding value in it. Two studios that have a strong following on the XBOX consoles(due to KOTOR, Mass Effect, and PGR), and Bungie going independant isn't helping them either. When you lose your most productive developer(GOTY awards, Sales, critical success) it's hard to understand why Microsoft hasn't been trying to build up some replacements.
This thread is hilarious. Lems are becoming mad :P and I haven't seen a single cow yet (minus TC?). Don't be so sensitive guys...
You guys know that TC's point was that if Fable 2 would go to the PC, the 360 version would have less impact in SW? (And IRL too, if you factor the fact that people without a 360 who now no longer need one to play it i.e. every single cow with their 3000$ super rigs that comes mandatory with their trey :P)
Anyway, I personnally find this to be rather of a surprise, since MS has been butchering their PC line up since 2007ish and shut down their most talented PC studios. It's still good news for me since I don't have a 360.
