Fallout: 
In my opinion, I would have to go with Fallout. I should also note that Skyrim is the first Elder Scrolls game I have ever played (but I played Fallout 3 when it came out, and just played New Vegas like 2 months ago). From what Ive played of Skyrim, it is fun and all, but I enjoyed Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 more. -I liked the atmosphere of both games better. It just seemed more interesting, and both games really sparked an interest to figure out what the hell was going on, why is the world like this? what happened? Why are these guys in vaults, etc... -The story was better for the reasons above -The games were easier to follow what was going on, and to stay on the path of the main mission. -It was just overall more fun, and interesting. Skyrim to me was a borefest the first several hours until I forced myself through the first few missions. Lets put it this way, when I bought Fallout New Vegas (and when I played Fallout 3) I was glued to the TV for a week. I couldnt pull myself away from it long enough to check internet forums, check Youtube, check Facebook, etc..... Yet when I bought Skyrim, I racked up about 10 hours of play time WITHOUT ACTUALLY PLAYING because I found myself reading forums on my laptop with the game running in the background without me playing (something Ive found myself doing ALOT lately with this game.). The fact that I find myself frequently moving the analog stick just to make the 360's "your console will shut off soon" indicator go away, should tell you something. Skyrim is still a fun game, and definately 9.0+ IMO but im just waiting for when the "post-hype splooge fest" dies down, and peoples actual opinions start to come out. (I should also note that SKYRIM is also the first Bethesda game Ive played AT LAUNCH, so there is also bias due to me never having to worry about the bug ridden mess that Skyrim is, with the other games). Which Bethesda franchise do you think has been better this gen? Fallout? or The Elder Scrolls? Discuss.
