Fanboys, how has brand loyalty rewarded you?

buying a PS3 3 times is nothing when lemmings had to buy 8-10 360s over the past 7 years

What gets me about PC gaming is that I have to wait for console tech to advance to get the most out of my machine. My PC kills the next gen consoles but I have been playing up res and 60fps versions of 360 games. Don't get me wrong, if something comes out on PC and consoles I will get the PC version 10 out of 10 times. But PC hardware is capable of so much more. And I would do almost anything to see The Last of Us on PC. Every time I play that game all I can think about is how much better it would be on PC. GoldenElementXL

Meh. Graphics aren't really a reason I game on my PC. Just a bonus.

I love PC gaming because it provides me with a lot more than a 'mostly' shallow experience in a shiny wrapper.

I know not everyone can afford to buy more than 1 system each gen, but if you can why not? If you bought only a PC, Wii, PS3 or 360 you missed out on great games. The ps3 is the first console i bought this gen and yeah i guess it has rewarded me. More exclusives, and not the same old thing milked over and over again. Sony have done a great job this gen.joel_c17

I'm not going to answer the question directly, but you mentioned that if you can buy another console, why not? I think some answers include:
- More clutter
- No time for that many games
- Sticking with one console means you dig deep into that library, finding gems, rather than playing AAA games across all platforms

So in essence you're arguing that people shouldn't be loyal because companies just want their money and don't care about them. So therefore they should buy all consoles thus giving more money to all of the companies that don't give a crap about them. Makes sense. It's not about brand loyalty. I don't know. Fanboys are just fanboys. Maybe they just want to keep justifying their purchase so they wouldn't feel bad about it, and they tend to be blind to the disadvantages of their hardware. I know it's very sad.

I just go whatever platform I like the best and just have fun with it. I chose the PC because it's cheaper and offers the best experience - higher number of games to choose from, ranging from old school, indies to latest games, and superior games with better performance and visuals.

I seriously doubt that any one does that. Well not many. If Sony released on console like the Wii or Wii U I wouldn't buy it.
