I think we should stop acting like bodyguards of M$ and Sony. That's what they want us to do. To keep promoting their work. It's like they are using us. Just get the console you want, and play it.

Indeed. Back to gaming, i'm sure many core Sony and MS fanboys would still get the PS4 or Xbox 3, even if they turned 100% casual, and still say 'thank you Sony/MS, you did the right thing'. These guys would completly change their gaming habits, if their favourite company decide so.

System Wars has been sickening the past few months. What I don't understand is why some of you are so loyal to companies that want nothing from you but your money. I know not everyone can afford to buy more than 1 system each gen, but if you can why not? If you bought only a PC, Wii, PS3 or 360 you missed out on great games. And with each generation there are fewer exclusives. Over the generations we have seen Final Fantasy, Metal Gear, Tekken, Mass Effect, Tomb Raider, Kingdom Hearts, Persona and many others go multi platform. So why are you being so loyal? You do realize this wont get you anywhere right? If someone is a fanboy then they will argue to the bitter end, they will rationalize anything they can to support their ideas and they wont ever, I mean EVER care what you have to say. In fact calling them a fanboy will just make them dig their heels even deeper and fight harder.

Do yourself a favor and just forget this.

Besides, what do you care what others think? Let other people be happy liking what they like instead of concerning yourself. If everyone just shut up and left other people alone this world would be so much happier.

been playing playstation since psone havent been letdown by none of sony consoles would buy an xbox just dont care for none of their exclusive games

it's sickening and pathetic. logical thinking is not the strongest area of these fanboys.

Being brand loyal to Sony, Nintendo and Valve has chipped quite nicely at my wallet over the years.

I wouldn't be so hasty to state that, brand loyalty is clearly a factor but even the PS2 with an absurd user base largely struggled to sway people to the PS3 for the majority of the gen, I know I had a PS2 then an xbox ended up prefering the xbox, had a look at PS3 and 360 and I got the 360 first had a ps3 for all of a couple months and dumped it, looking at the new consoles coming out and tbh the PS4 will be the console I get first, I like the xbox platform I like the integrated nature of Live, I liked that getting a 360 meant 90% of the time you got the better version of a game, I dont like xbone, I dont like the attitude shown to some dev's, I dont like the idea that kinect has to be part of my games consoles and therefore if i get a new console I will get a ps4.sonny2dap

I also went from PS2 to 360 and now i'm jumping to Playstation again. But i wasn't talking about me and you, who get individual products based on their individual qualities.

The fact PS3 sold what it sold, on it's first two years, at a ridiculous price point and with no killer games, basicaly proves my point.

When I was younger I thought it rewarded me but as you get older, these companies don't care if you wait in line at midnight for their consoles. They don't care if you, saved pennies and mowed lawns to be able to afford their products. Your nothing but money signs to them, they are a business. Brand loyalty means NOTHING and honestly why should it. You sit on here and defend so and so, they aren't going to reward you because you were being a d*ck to someone and calling them a cow, lem, hermit, sheep. Like I said I use to be like that but those companies want us to be like that because its free advertising and publicity for them. I do prefer something over the other though and yeah I have my biases but if company A does something I don't like, company B and C have my money no problem

I am loyal to the games. That has lead me to buy every Sony console released because it is the console with the games I want to play along with my PC. PS1 was better than the N64 and Saturn. PS2 was better than Gamecube and Xbox came too late to even bother with. Then there's the PS3 which is better than the Wii and 360 to me, so there you have it. When it comes to picking a console to go with my PC, Sony seems to always win my money. Same for next gen, PS4 all the way for me for a console.
