Wow so your best defense is to hide behind the Wii?
First of I do not own a Wii but I have a huge amount of respect for what the Wii has done. Many on here bash the Wii because it seems they do it becuase they think they are supposed to do it to be a true gamer. Screw that. I say thank you Nintendo you have opened up the gamer market far more the any other console even their other ones. In the end since so many new people have been reached because of the Wii it will help gamers in the long run. For many reason but the largest one is gaming will be more accepted now then it was last gen.
Also you said
All I was arguing was that you COULD say the PS3 has come back from the depths of darkness that was 2007.
Bro it is last in hardware and software sales, Lowest software attach rate, losing a ton of money unlike the Wii and the 360, and so on. That is not a comeback. No one in the world but fanboys could ever see that as a success at all.
As far as saying the gen has eneded like how Sony said the gen starts when they say so. I do not think the gen has ended I just think there is no chance of PS3 comming out of last place. The gen is still going but things will not change.
Here is a example of how the Playstation name is fading. In the largest hardware sales months of the year the PS3's sales dropped 9% from what they did the year before. People now see the PS3 will never be what the PS2 was and do not want it.

I don't hide behind the Wii. YOU hide behind sales which the Wii shows is moronic.
Yes, Nintendo has done a TON for expanding the gaming community. Same goes for the PS2 with its sales. And since you keep tapping that subject, I'm wodnering; How has MS done in this regard? Crappy. We see this "market share" praise BS fdrom lemmings talking about MS taking Sony's share. Great. When does MS do soemthing to grow the gaming community? When does MS do something worthy of selling the best? Sales seem to be so important to you, yet, you praise the company that has failed the most in that regard.
You don't think the PS3 will ever catch up. Great. Is that somehow fact? No. We both have different takes on how this will play out. But I am well aware that my take is merely opinion and speculation. Yours is no more valid. yet, you talk as though it is.
And again you use a different definition of comeback than most here are using. I don't think anyone is calling it a comeback due to sales. yet, there you are with that argument. I think most are saying, like I have, that PS3 has comeback from the dismal start it had.
How can you call a console that selling as well as your favorite a failure? How can you close your eyes to the fact that the PS3 has been neck-and-neck with the 360 in world-wide sales since launch? How can you close your eyes to the fact that the only lead 360 has right now is due to the year alone in the market?
If you call PS3 a failure, you have to admit 360 is failing too.
