Just looked through all three games trying to be released and I only have one question: why is everybody freaking out over Xenoblade? Maybe it's because I'm not the world's biggest fan of huge exploration in a game but Xenoblade just doesn't really appeal to me.
I'm just curious as to why everybody likes it so much.
Now The Last Story on the other hand....NOA better bring that here.
It has gotten good reviews, people who have played the Japanese import say it's good, it's a first party Nintendo IP, it's an RPG, it's a good game which Wii is lacking. Of course, if you don't like huge exploration this game is not for you. Because this game is huge (apparently).Just looked through all three games trying to be released and I only have one question: why is everybody freaking out over Xenoblade? Well according to Wikipedia (:P) the Xenoblade campaign is first in line followed by The Last Story campaignJust looked through all three games trying to be released and I only have one question: why is everybody freaking out over Xenoblade? Nintendo said we would be getting an announcement later today... and it's kinda later today. Anyone heard anything?

Throw that casual **** on the ground
But really, looking at NeoGaf Nintendo may not be giving a statement today, at least IGN thinks so; they say they may have been optimistic about the statement...
its only 5 around Pacific if not they will probably do it tommorow(if it was true)Nintendo said we would be getting an announcement later today... and it's kinda later today. Anyone heard anything?

Dear Loyal Fan
Nintendo of America does not plan to release Monado: The Beginning of the World, also known as Xenoblade in Japan, in North America. This is because the game fell short of our standard of quality. Our quality testing team cited numerous complaints pertaining largely to the structure and storyline of the game. Nintendo of America strives to bring only the highest quality games to North American audiences and as such Monado: The Beginning of the World will not be published here. This does not mean that we no longer support the JRPG genre as your letter suggests, and indeed you can look forward to several exciting Pokemon announcements in the near future. In the meantime, why not buy one of Nintendo's other great Wii titles, such as the recently released Wii Play Motion, and pretend you're playing Monado: The Beginning of the World. It may make you feel better.
Yours sincerely,
Reggie Fils-Aime
P.S. Thanks for the kindling
it's a joke don't believe it.

Monado IS Xenoblade. Xenoblade was originally announced as Monado, and its name was changed later. Oh dear I feel stupid #1 is Monado: The Beginning of the World... and Xenoblade isn't even in the top 40 for video games :|
charizard1605
as of right now,
Monando is #3 at Amazon.
and Xenoblade is Rising on Gamestats.
Rise that to make Xenoblade the top game on Gamesites!

I actually believed you until I read the spoiler. Not gonna lie.

I put that spoiler their so people don't decide to threaten Reggie or NOA because the game isn't coming to NA yet.

Apparently because of Operation Rainfall, Amazon Japan has seen a sudden increase in sales of 3 particular Games.
*from NeoGaf
That's really cool Japan is sympathising with us :) If what we say doesn't reach Nintendo, the money sure will.
Wow, way to go IGN, raising everybody's hopes like that...charizard1605TBH, I'm used to it by now :P. Well, to be fair; he said they'd comment on Tuesday or Wednesday. Let's see.

Yeah, they seemed happy, but who knows? I'm pretty sure Google thought they were talking about good rice at some point. So, any updates? What'd I miss?khoofia_pikaNothing yet, except that Nintendo knows we exist and Japan is trying to help us out.
So, any updates? What'd I miss?DarkLink77Nothing yet, except that Nintendo knows we exist and Japan is trying to help us out. I also read that fake letter a guy posted.. I almost thought that was real. That part where Reggie wanted us to play Wii Motion Plus and pretend as if we were playing Monado gave it away, though :P
Ugh I don't have Rikaichan installed and wtf Firefox 5 already?
Edit: The article is basically just explaining what's going on. That "passionate" fans are using the previously titled "Monado's" placeholder on Amazon in order to encourage Nintendo to release Xenoblade. And that fans aren't only targetting Xenoblade, but also "The Last Story" and "Pandora's Tower." In addition to this unfortunate situation, Monolith is planning a Wii U title.
The last line of the article is a perfect reason why Japanese can be so confusing (they like to throw "but" in when they don't mean it). It basically expresses surprise and "joy" regarding the support from foreign Japanese Nintendo fans.

Yeah I know. It seemed like Yesterday that it was Firefox 4.
Also I made a Know Your Meme Article on this subject to encourge more people to join.
Tell me what you think.
There has been an update for the situation:
Updated 6/27/11: The Amazon.com pre-order campaign for Xenoblade/Monado resulted in the game becoming #1 on the website's pre-order list. Additionally, Nintendo has informed me that it is aware of the "Missing Wii Games"/Operation Rainfall movement and that it will have a statement on the matter. At the moment I don't have definitive word on when that statement will arrive. IGN
Linky
Absolutely no emotion in the statement from Nintendo and its really hard to figure out what their answer will be. :?
