ikr, N64 was easily the worst Ninty console. Format limited it big time, the controller was trash. It had a few great games though.worst ninetndo console ever? lol yea right.

I've owned almost every console that has been released since the Atari 2600, and the wii is without a doubt the WORST console I ever purchased. So good freaking riddance.
List all the consoles you owned? I think the only console released I never owned was the neo geo.. Now list every console YOU owned.. I didnt buy every console. The worst console of this generation, i think it ruined gaming >_>
anyways later casual console and hello to another casual system by as always Nintendo
LOL I'm not even going to bother with a well thought out reply for this joke article.RR360DDYou actually think before you troll?
RE 4 Wii was great. after that it offered me nothing exept downloading old NES and SNES games. Waste...
Unhappy I ever bought one and happy I sold it a few years back while it was still worth a couple bucks. :?
That said, I will say that it had one saving grace for me and that is, I skipped GC last gen so on the day I purchased Wii, I picked up Celda and TBH, it was by far my most enjoyable game on the Wii. :P
The Wii was just a last gen system, a gamecube with tacked on motion controls. As a result of this the Wii only had like 15 good games for it, I know this because that's how many Wii games I have, 15. And I only buy good games, most of which were Nintendo 1st party.
Nintendo is the least progressive company in the industry. If they were the only one's we would never get anywhere.

the only real way that nintendo isn't progressive is in their online execution.
Nintendo had no hope of competing with the HD twins at their own game. Sony and MS eat massive losses to sell expensive tech on the cheap and the losses don't end there. It's known that these companies send money to third parties for exclusivity rights and such. Just look at the GC, which was a peer of the ps2 and xbox1 but didn't get much third party support. Devs like Rockstar expect to be paid by console companies for their games. Is that progressive to you, to just dump money on every problem? It's admirable, sure, but no progressive. It's definitely not a sign of ingenuity.
I would say that Nintendo was fairly progressive with the wii, dropping the console and dev costs to as low as possible while introducing different hardware other than graphics processing to sell the console. You say that motion controls were just "tacked on" to the console but imo motion controls enchanced the game experience of many games. I can't imagine playing Trauma Center or Wiisports on the HD twins and having a good time.
Overall I would say that the Wii I bought collected to much dust but I can admit that when I was playing the right game the console felt very worth it to me.

If you only got 15 games for the Wii and you say that's all it has to offer then you didn't try hard enough.
it had some good games but ultimately it kinda left me feeling meh. So much so that this time around I wont be buying nintendos next system day one like I did with the wii.
The Wii Was the Worst Nintendo console? in terms of impact or reputation maybe. In sales it obviously dominated the other consoles, but more importantly it did have a great selection of games for those who bothered to research it. Honestly I probably got more games on my Wii than I did on the N64. The thing that made the N64 memorable was the fact that the few games it did have were just that f*cking good. Or that's how I've always seen it anyways.
Even if the Wii was to be considered the worst Nintendo console, it's still nowhere near a bad one, because unlike some of the worst game systems created, the Wii had much much more than 1-3 games worth owning. My library of Wii games left me more than satisfied, between the retail games and Virtual Console, and I probably got as much playtime out of my Wii that I got out of my 360.
I'll remember the Wii for its virtual console and the best exclusives this generation. Solid system.
[QUOTE="super600"][QUOTE="StatusShuffle"] I didn't mention challenge anywhere. There was nothing going on, it had limited control options even for an on rails game, there was little interactivity, almost no content, and thanks to you, I remebered how short it was. Also adding, no real effort with the plot.StatusShuffle
You can literally get 40 hours of replay value by leveling up sonic and getting everything else in the game. The game doesn't become incredibly fun until you get the crest skills.
Most people don't consider that fun. Also, the game barely has any replay value, I don't feel like playing the same on rails stages with limited interactivity again and again is fun. Sonic SR is just as bad as Sonic 2006, the only difference is they have opposite gaming issues (linear, lack of control, to little interactivitty) I think you just like the game. Which makes you think that you can defend it when there's nothing there to defend. Most people aren't going to get 40 hours of replay value because there's very little to do so, there's not much game there at all. Generations has more content and all most of its "Content" is just filler. The thing the game does best is that it doesn't have a terrible story and the controls are simple to use, but hard to master. The skills follow the same format. The game actually tests your reflexes in some missionsThe controls are not perfect which make some of the harder missions frustrating to beat, but the game is pretty fun once you level up sonic more. The party mode is terrible. The game doesn't trow dumb gimmicks at you like the werehog or a magical talking sword.Theur are also couple of terrible missions in the game.
The Wii is my least favorite console this gen but damn I played a few amazing exclusives on it as well a few gems. Heres to the Wi-U (what should have been the Wii). My money is ready Nintendo.
I think it's a good console. Far from being the best Ninendo has ever produced, but I still had plenty of fun with it. I managed to get over 45 games for it over its lifetime, so I'd say the $250 was well spent.
"It was the worst Nintendo console of all time" Yup and I wont be buying another Nintendo console for a long, long time. Heil68
Got that right. I got a Gamecube and Wii, not falling for the hype again.

But the motion controls weren't that accurate or responsive. The graphics, physics, ai and audio were last gen. It's hard to see where they were progressive other than the price.

I loved the Wii. I actually played what it had to offewr and got the most out of it.
Good system, great games.
Seabas989
^This. I made the most out of it with 28 games plus VC games. Honestly I would have it right next to the N64 and GC in terms of overall enjoyment of the games. But the system itself was flawed from the start which I could rant about all day. What's interesting is that I missed out on a couple games so I can see myself having 40 games in the end.
