[QUOTE="JohnnyCageMK"][QUOTE="PinnacleGamingP"] you pretty much crushed any lemming hope for this game  awesomePinnacleGamingPI'm pretty sure most 360 owners don't care. Japan doesn't buy 360s. EVERYONE, grab a bucket we got tears we can collect lol the game is multiplat bro. SE has been confirmed for MS's conference so this is probably the announcement. I just don't care about the game and judging by low sales of Final Fantasy series on 360 most 360 owners don't either. Now if Agent still exists and ends up being a PS3 exclusive I'd care but Versus XIII? sorry don't care.
WOW if true
Kingpin0114
It was expected when Nomura took the time to explain the process of a port and stuff through his twitter. He was just trying to soften the blow for those that bought a PS3 just for FF and has been waiting years and years for a good one after FF13's mediocrity.
[QUOTE="AdamPA1006"][QUOTE="DJ-Lafleur"]Dont worry you will love it. I am playing through it now, and yes I HAVE played FF13, unlike this idiot who I doubt has beat either. I'm gonna make a full post about it in system wars in a bit, but Xenoblade is among the best games I have ever played. I absolutely guarantee you will love it as I do. Tch. Shows what you know I love jrpgs so i own em both. Xenoblades just a bit overrated imo. If it had more to do than kill blah blah monster 20 times it'd be more fun. I can only do so many fetch quests!Well, let me rephrase. I highly doubt I will enjoy Xenoblade less than FFXIII. While I did enjoy FFXIII for the battle system, it also had some pretty stupid design as well. Everything I hear about Xenoblade from anyone worth a damn (ie not you) makes Xenoblade sound far superior and I am sure I'll agree.
Capitan_Kid
That's funny because all you do in Final Fantasy XIII is walk along linear paths and fight, watch a cutscene, fight, watch a cutscene, fight, watch a cutscene, fight. Atleast Xenoblade has exploration!
I agree the quests arent great but you dont really have to do them. I am loving Xenoblade so much now.....the world, the music, the battle chatter. Its not perfect (inventory system is probably the worst I have ever seen), but I cant wait to see the rest of this story. But I think the game world is worth a playthrough on its ownAdamPA1006You kinda have to do them for affinity and experience but i agree its fun. Especially boss battles.

So wait, if this game is on Wii U as well, doesn't that technically mean it doesn't actually exist according to Cow logic?Cows: "LOL NOT ON EXBAWKS LEMMINGS ARE OWNED"

Sony bullied out of another exclusive yet again .
On topic, I hope this game can make the franchise relevant again. I might get it on the Wii U (along with Kingdom Hearts 3 if they announce it). I liked that it was supposed to be using an evolved version of Crisis Core's battle system (even though the game itself was meh).
The more I look at it, the more it looks fake. The crowd looks fake (sounds like there's 5 persons in the room) and with the exact same trailer already shown, which is the ending part just edited. And the announcer started talking before the trailer ended which is really unusual.
Yeah, I call fake.
They tried hard.:|

All jrpgs arent structured the same. Its obvious that 13 was more about story/fighting than exploring. Just like Eternal Sonata, Folklore, FF X, and Resonance of Fate.@ Captain_Kid
I didn't say there's anything wrong with being linear (tho FFXIII does take it a bit too far), but if you're going to critisize Xenoblade for not having enough to do, it only makes sense to critisize FFXIII even more since it has less to do.

Yeah probably although renaming it to FFXV would make sense.

At least FFX had towns, NPCs and while linear, wasn't just one straight line.
Xenoblade has an open world but its empty. Exploring only gets you killed by some level 70 monster. There arent any cool treasures to find since all treasures come from monsters. Still fun. Nothing wrong with being linear either. Seeing as FFXIII has no towns, no NPC interaction at all, no shops, no exploration at all, treasures that really aren't that useful until late game, gil being utterly worthless until post game, and equipment being worthless also until post game. FFXIII is completely utterly void of variety. It's the very definition of empty. Going down long winded linear pipe maps the majority of the game all the while mashing the X button with the occasional paradigm change for normal mobs is a total chore and isn't fun at all. Treasures are plenty useful throughout the game. Lol normal mobs could kill you easily if you didnt do things right. If you mash X you arent going to get far. Zero exploration? Wrong. If this were 13-2 i might agree about easy mobs.[QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"][QUOTE="GreySeal9"]

More like very little exploration.
Waiting for a game to be good for hours and hours is not a good game.
Seems legit, but people do go out of their way to fake sh*t these days so better to wait and see.
One thing I do know is that, Square have shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Japanese culture. I'm an expert. But honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in America where you can become successful by being an a**hole. No one wants casual Wii U version. If you screw someone over in Japan, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this would mean is the Japanese public, after hearing about this, will not to want to purchase FFXV, nor will they purchase any of Square's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Square could alienate an entire market with this move.

FF X was mostly lines too and the towns didnt have much besides the temples. NPCs werent all that memorable except for a few. Its silly to hate on 13 when its so similar to X[QUOTE="Seabas989"][QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"] All jrpgs arent structured the same. Its obvious that 13 was more about story/fighting than exploring. BTW X is one of my least favorite in the series. Still it did things better then XIII.
I think we all knew it was going to go multiplat but I definitely was not expecting the other system to be Wii-U.
That's assuming this is true of course.

Nope, 100% platted the game already. Majority of normal enemies in the game can be dispatched easily by mashing X with the RAV/RAV/COM paradigm until maybe gran pulse (30 hours in) when the difficulty goes up a notch. Bosses are essentially the same exact strategy every time. Stagger with Rav/rav/com or Rav/rav/rav, get up that chain gauge, switch to com/com/com. Perhaps a few debuffs/buffs here and there. People make this combat system out to be the most complex system ever yet it's the same repetitive pattern almost every time. Summons are majorly useless. Treasures tend to give you materials which are used to upgrade equipment, the upgrade system is majorly useless until post game and it's best not to waste materials until you get the good equipment, which is all the way at the end. Gil is scarce for a good majority of the game making shops completely and utterly worthless until post game. There's nothing else to say about this game. It's just run, fight, cutscene, rinse repeat. No interesting story either, cringe worthy characters, stupid looking villain with stupid motive, cheesy jpop music. FFXIII-2 tries to improve upon it but ultimately fails.
looks totally fake.
first off, the crowd sounds like there's only 10 people out there. secondly, they're using old FFVsXIII footage from more than a year ago. why would they show the exact same CGi from over a year ago to the "press" who already saw it? thirdly, those subtitles font overlay look so amateur.
fake, not even a doubt that it's totally fake. i don't know why people are even talking about this.
It's still relevant. Just no where near as it once was. The name has been tarnished by mediocrity too many times. It's going to take something amazing to get it back on top. Like a FF7 REMAKE.Final Fantasy is still relevant?

That would gain them some sales IF they didn't screw it up. And I'm 100% sure they would find as many ways as they can to do so.
But even if they did it right, it would only buy them a moment of fame.
What will it take to put FF back on top? Making good NEW Final Fantasy games. Taking the graphics down a notch for the sake of bigger, better games and healthy development cycles would be a good start.

i thought SW is more sensible, really.
