FF15 will come to PC if PC gamers make a petition *sigh*

It looks like a new marketing strategy among console developers. Bloody bastards.

First it was Division. Now it´s FF15.

The latest issue of Famitsu, Hashimoto said that the company was waiting to gauge audience demand before making a decision on a PC version.

Translation: "IF you do our damned marketing job for us, hype yourself and make your friends hyped then maybe we will port the game to PC".

Or they just promote next gen consoles playing on fears of people who wouldn´t buy them if MGS5 and FF15 released on PC.

Bloody bastard also added that FFXV is being developed in a PC environment and that platforms that support DirectX 11 will be likely candidates for the game.

So basically they will have a PC version running and ready day 1, but they will withhold it until they release FF15 on consoles first, it´s my guess.

I want it but I certainly won´t buy a next gen console to play it. I won´t spend 500$ for a Multiplat Station 4 that will be completely obsolete in a year or two.

I´d rather spend that money on radeon 8970 that will provide me with 1600p gaming.

FF games have gotten consistantly worse since FFVII. The last "good" FF game was FFVIII IMO and this new one doesnt even look like a Final Fantasy game any more. Im not saying the new one will be bad though, I havent played it so how would I know? But from what I have seen of it; Id be surprised if enough PC gamers bothered to sign a petition for that.

This is a pretty clear case of developers doing some really fvcking lazy viral marketing.

That would be pretty good, actually. Advertising wouldn't inflate the budgets that much anymore, and every platform would be getting more games.

That's awesome... it may be "begging" on SW, but in the real world, it's very nice to see a community actively working to present itself as a viable source of revenue for a developer!

Actually it was new FF15's combat what made me notice the title. JRPGs, gameplay-wise, are stagnat and bland. Great story telling, but aweful undinamic gameplay. This is why you will never find any JRPG at top ten of Metacritic or other ranking web sites. First places are always occupied by western rpgs such as Fallout or Baldurs Gate that have more dynamic tactical combat systems. I hope new FF15's combat will change that.

No. Baldur´s Gate-style combat is superior: real time with a tactical pause based on stats. It´s hard as nails to dominate. JRPG combat is just spamming spells in certain order. You even level up automatically. That´s aweful. 

I suggest you to try Baldurs Gate 2, a cRPG classic, or Dragon Age 1, a more modern iteration, and compare what is more challenging.
