He made a simple reading error, it happens. Just like you felt the need to capitalize that whole sentence.

FFX was a good game for it's time. But I couldn't stand listening to Titus whine all the time. It's hard hard to care/get into a story when the main character annoys you. LO actually made you feel for Kaim, and that is the begining of a great story IMO.

Also, you seem to have a problem with "games blown out of proportion," and I happily suggest that you open your fanboy eyes and take a look at other games. Like I don't know, Mario? Hmm, who else, Metal Gear Solid? Uh, Gears of War? Pokemon? The list goes on and on. This is actually normal to create hype and boy did it work for Microsoft since Halo 3 sold millions in the first week.

Lost Odyssey is a great game its one of those games the reviewers didnt get but gamers did, lol that seems to be happening alot this gen. I loved FFX to, i have beat that game like 3 times lost odyssey kind of reminded me how good RPGS where when i was younger while i was playing the only problem with the game for me was that you really couldnt level grind in the game other then that it was great and those dreams in the game where sad as hell

I don't understand how you developed that opinion, but to each his own.

I thought the idea was the story was very orginial, all the characters were extremely interesting and well developed, the story itself had some very nice twists as well as emotionally powerful moments. I was pleased that the main character actually acted like a normal guy as opposed to the previous anti-social sterotypically badass ones of the other FFs. Voice acting was decent, combat was fun, sphere grid was well implemented.

It's got everything that made other FFs great, IMO more.

Lost Odyssey had a great cast of characters except for the main villain. As for the story its really cliched and goes gown hill after disc 2. FFX was a disaster except for the sphere grid, Auron and Lulu. So LO > FFX IMOjasonharris48

If if you consider a game that's AAA on gamerankings, sold millions of copies, and considered to be one the best PS2 games to date a disaster, I would love to hear what a good game is.

The story was ruined (for me) by Sin and Tidus being some...ghost or whatever the hell he was. Speaking of Tidus...good gods, I have not found a single FF protagonist that I loathe more than him. But, as you said, to each their own.

It's kind of a universally accpeted thing that as you kill stuff in RPGs, you get better at it . I don't see how a sphere grid system that eventually allows you to make hybrid characters as a poor choice for an FF.

I also don't see how it was complex at all. Random battle -- get ability points -- use them to move on grid to gain abilities. If you wanted that process automated I don't think it would have felt very satisfying, and it would have made those tedious random battles even more unbearable.
