Lets not forget Planetscape Torment or old school stuff like the Bladerunner, the Bards Tale series or the Forgotten Realms series (man I loved Pool of Radience when I was a lad!) and does anyone remember Buck Rodgers? That game was freaking awesome too!

Fallout alone is more RPG than any jRPG.  I like jRPGs but they're more like action-adventure gamews with numbers.

Unfortunately, JRPGs are simply catering to anime freaks on all sides while failing to advance gameplay. There are some exceptions to the rule but overall there are just too many clones and pretenders. 

It's a sad truth.

Now do not get me wrong FF13 will prolly not be a bad game but Mass Effect will be so much better. Every FF game is a bunch of metro-sexual emo kids just running thru a story that is laid out already. Mass Effect has choices for example player chooses where they are born and that will have a effect on story. How you interact with NPCs will have a effect on story and how other NPCs see you. FF games do not give choices like that. Mass Effect graphics are IMO best one the 3 consoles only the mighty Crysis beats it. FF has only shown a CGI trailer. You can choose how you want to look in Mass Effect male/female and how it looks. FF does not give that option. Mass Effect has already said there will be a lot of downloadable area. That will give game more replay.Bioware puts a ton of man and creative power into there games while SE is making 6 games at same time so will not be able to spend as much time and man power on the games like bioware does.

1. The only game this gen to rival the FF7 masterpiece is Lost Odyssey, not FF13

2. The best looking JRPG's will be on 360, that is a given, it is stronger in GPU and ram and shaders

3. FF12 was the worst in the series, and reminded of that garbage MMORPG of theirs, a total disaster in my eyes, now all i can do is question FF13 quality, especially after reading that summons now tranform into gadgets too !!!!

4. FF13 is CONFIRMED for 360, remember they just CONFIRMED FF13 is going multiplatform and every other Nova Crystallis game too (of course they would, how could they turn their eyes from ... 4 million worldwide sales for FF13 certain 100%)

5. 360 gets so many JRPG's that even if FF13 does not come on 360 and is indeed the best, will be over after 100 hours or so, then i can get back to Blue dragon 1-2, Lost odyssey, Cry On, Infinite Undiscovery, Eternal Sonata, Circle of Doom, and WRPG's like Fable 2, Mass Effect, bioshock etc etc etc

So, all in all, it is a loose-loose situation for PS3

Ummm WoW's outdated graphics isn't because they didn't want to use better graphics.  It's because they didn't want to screw people over by having some super high-end required graphics.  And you get to see more, do more, because performance is better optimized with its lower end graphics.

And why is WoW there?  It's not a 360 game.

The funny thing is that the oft-quoted creator of FFXIII (no one ever seems to know his name) states that FFXIII would not be possible without Blu-ray. What's so interesting about that is that Blu-ray has nothing to do with the power of either the PS3 or the 360. Blu-ray is there for one thing: storage. If the creator said that the game is only possible on Blu-ray, what he would have to mean would be "FFXIII is only possible on one disc with Blu-ray". Anything that can be put on a Blu-ray can also get put on a DVD9, just not as much.

Now, think about this. Most of the storage on a disc is taken up by hi-def cutscenes. Now, if the final product is as good as Square is hyping it (aka better than Spirits Within), there won't be any need for cutscenes, which will dramatically reduce the size.

I'm not saying FFXIII would fit on one DVD. What I am saying is that FFXIII isn't going to be a 50 gig game that takes up an entire Blu-ray disc. If the only thing keeping FFXIII off the 360 is disk space, then that's just Square being stubborn and refusing to put it on more than one DVD.

dunno... i personally found fable and oblivion to be every bit as fun as any FF game.

did hate the fact of fable being rediculously short though.

The 360 does not have a single rpg right now that can beat ffxIII awesomeness and the creator of ff has confirmed himself that ff13 can only fit on blu ray disc bad news for the green x , For the ps3 :D .

Also the american Rpgs do not appeal the Japannese gamers who are the main market for this games , Everything looks gloomy in the 360`s future.

Final Fantasy Is the king of the rpg genre nothing beats it.

KOTOR is king to me and FF is so boring and crappy but that's just my opinion I don't start a thread and claim KOTOR to be king and PS sucks cause of it.

Also I think Mass Effect will be the best RPG this gen IMO when it is released

FF is the King?  Were Skies of Arcadia, Dragon Quest, Vagrant Story, KoTOR, Chrono, Lunar, Kingdom Hearts, Elder Scrolls and the others consulted in this matter?  Final Fantasy hasn't been pretty hit and miss the last 5 years or so.
