having played 6-10 and FF X-2 and 12 i have to say 13 is the worst in the series so lets hope FF vs 13 will be good

It's what I've been saying for some time. JRPGs are more like Customizable Adventure Games.
They have the stats and levelling feature (the character customizing) in common with WRPGs, but in terms of gameplay styIe, share more in common with adventure games playing as pre-scripted characters, where its the WRPGs that have the role playing driven gameplay of being your own character in the universe.
In way, you could say that JRPGs are a bridge between role playing games and action adventure games.
