It's not coming to PS3 because all it is essentially is the normal game with the same graphics and all with the added extra of achievements and a few online features. Unless SE prove me wrong and add something worthwhile to the game.

So its basically FFVII's PC port (which iirc back in the day was pretty bad) and with achievements.

Still bit of a headscratcher since Square loves money that they dont to a port and shunt over to the 360 now it wouldnt be that hard :P

There's a surprisingly sizeable modding community for VII. It's not massive, but for a JRPG it's shocking.

Too bad Sony wasted tons of money on that POS Vita instead of doing what they SHOULD have done and just remake FF7. Would have actually turned a pretty decent profit then.

Becuase the profit from an HD version of a game could equal the profit from a handheld system when (not if) it bcomes successful.

It was already on ps3 long time ago , it's available in the ps one shop except that it doesn't include trophies/achievments

I'm pretty sure almost everyone has a pc capable of running a 14 - 15 years old game that they probably finish at least once.

If they have higher res backdrops (I imagine the originals were rendered at higher resolution than those on the PS1/PC) and redid the character models, I'd buy.

No, they would much rather make Final Fantasy XIII-9 Versus x3 instead of remaking their best game.

Me too. Plus even if the game isn't "remastered', I'm sure it looks a helluva lot better than the PS1 version which I haven't played since the late 90's.

I dont' think it's a huge deal, but it just makes the PS1 classic on PSN even more obsolete than it already was. I think I might pick this up. Now if they would just do this with Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana.:P Hopefully a decent enough amount of poeple buy this to encourage Square to put more stuff on Steam. Even games that WEREN'T already ported to PC.

Although I would love a full remake, in reality, if they just updated the in game/exploration/dialogue models, the game wouldn't be that bad graphically. Especially if they allowed the game to scale to 1080p.

If they don't do that, which they probably won't, would be lovely if some modders could do that...can't imagine it would be too difficult.

I first played this game on PC. VIII as well. They did not run very well and VIII's FMV skipped the whole time. But maybe it would be interesting playing this ver. for nostalgia's sake.

I don't see how anyone could justify repurchasing this game and investing dozens of hours into it. Every single story beat and important moment is basically common knowledge for anyone who plays games, and just about every gaming site feels totally fine with spoiling every second of the game.

I think the same regarding Final Fantasy X. People like it because it was their first RPG, Final Fantasy or PS2 game. That game was awful in every possible way.

I'd buy it, So I can install those HD Mods.
