If Square pulls this off for the PS3, Sony might be doing a little better than expected. FF7 is an amazing game, and it deserves to be remade with better graphics, sound quality, and video.

Why can't gaming fans realize that THERE ARE BETTER WAYS TO ALLOCATE DEVELOPER RESOURCES than REGURGITATING over-rated and nostalgic demand for an antiquated product?
Why do you think FF games have dropped so sharply in quality? Your demand as consumers, and willingness to purchase the FF label despite falling quality, has informed Squaresoft that it need not work so hard for your dollars. And now you tell Squaresoft, "don't worry about creating an innovative new franchise or product. we'll buy the same old crap we played ten years ago. just make sure cloud has a big sword, fights a lame and predictable enemy, and present us with a plot riddled with JRPG cliches, horrible plot devices, and childish overtones."

Thats the thing though, have they still got what it takes to make a new innovative game that can is on par with there older RPGs, the ones that where fun.... apparently not, ff12=floptastic... so they may aswell remake one of the best games of all time FF7.
