So i finished the demo. This game, just like Outriders, feel like these two were created over 10 years ago, and somehow released in 2021. Its insane how old the game feels, and not just from its incredibly mediocre visuals and what seems like 720p (even in resolution mode🤣), but the level design itself and the way the enemies just stand there like we're in 1999 playing Phantasy Star Online. Its literally PSO level design lol. Every room and corridor looks the same. The lighting in this game is so bad that it can only be too dark (as in the corners are so black that there's no visible textures) or washedout af. Complete mess, and it reminds me of 6th gen console games.
Writing, dialogue, voice acting and the design of your crew is also really low budget. Is Team Ninja an indie dev or Tecmo gave them $17.50 to develop this game? If they're using the Nioh engine, this is without a doubt the worst engine there is. Its TRASH.
And what with the constant fps drops? The game looks like its straight from mid 360 gen, and its lagging on a 9.2tflops console? The fuuk?! I also didn't get why is it that every time i lower the camera while moving the character, it gave me micro stutters like the camera is getting stuck on walls or floor. The game is in an extremely rough shape, and i don't think they should have released a demo in this state. The roughest demo i've played in i dunno how long.
The combat system is very good, tho. Lots of depth, great block mechanic and a lot of stuff to collect and level up. Even if the game stays in this rough state, this might be one of those games that i close my eyes to all its messy parts and enjoy it primarily for its combat and challenge. If its a long game that offers a lot of challenging content, i'll get it for $40, but not more.
I just beat Chaos!! And filled out the survey :)
My biggest complaints were graphics/performance and useless AI allies lol.

Took you long enough.
Yea, well, you used game genie.

Nope! I had more issues with the griffon and enemy swarms than the boss. The boss was easier for me because it was one target it an open space. I beat him on my second attempt with probably 2 HP remaining. 😅 The lock on and the camera is not great for swarms. Also, magic cheese works well for the boss.

I was a melee character. I upgraded my Swordsman to the next class (think it's called Warrior or something) and got War Cry and this other move that raises your might and he's actually weak to those attacks. But in the end I just had to get good at dodging lol.
