Final Fantasy VX on PS4 putting TW3 and it's devs to shame!

What source do you want?

I know that its a multiplat but the most hype came from the PC crowd and its quite easy to understand why. Its because of the origin and where the sequels were released. Not to mention that the developers themselves see it as a PC game.

I agree that many console gamers are looking forward to the game.

So Nvidia is doing that work and not the actual developers? Ok well all the hair work that's done in FFXV is done by the developers and it's actually already in the game.

Noting that fact doesn't exactly aid any detractors who have criticized this thread, it actually furthers my points. It should be clear if I criticize the devs for only relying on powerful tech to have great gfx this wouldn't be a positive for TW3.

No, it's nvidia technology, i'm sure the devs do it. I was just pointing out that gif wasn't trying to show off dog animations but rather the hair animation.

We should wait to see what is in the actual game

That screenshot is not ingame and it's easy to notice this by the clarity.

It's either CG or the PC version but it's most likely CG.

ok I may have mistaken that as real-time cause honestly it is on of the reasons I made this thread, game itself could be mistaken for CG but you might be right on that one so how about these...

it was an easy mistake if that was CG but knowing the gameplay looks like this..

I mean, just check background textures, they all are kinda blury and low res.

Maybe FFXV has slightly better protagonist´s hair, but Witcher 3 has

more foliage and vegetation on the screen, more detailed foliage and vegetaion, better textures of sufaces, clothes, materials, metals and rocks, better facial skin textures, better climate effects such as rain, snow, flower powder in the air, more detailed and beautiful backgrounds.

And FFXVI has only slightly better hair. Do you understand how rediculous that sounds ?

It'll be like watching Return of the King , without ever watching Fellowship and The Two Towers . Play first two games , you won't regret it .

I'm glad that Square was able to achieve this level of graphics. It only took them 9 years to make this. It'll probably be closer to 10 by the time the game gets released.

FFVX and TW3(ps4 version) are on the same level graphically, but TW3(ps4 version) looks a bit better.

The reason the OP is saying that FFVX looks so much better is because the TW3 on ps4 will get a direct comparison with the PC version and it is obvious that is going to get annihilated (1440p, 60fps ,max settings VS 900p, 30fps, low settings LOL). So he is trying to shift away the direct comparison by creating a situation in which he can't lose or win, because FFVX is not on PC, so there's no way to make a direct comparison.

OP just got exposed...

FFXV will release for PC.

Until it comes to PC he can avoid the direct comparison.

A lot of Witcher 3 still looks last gen. Not ugly but the animation and minute detail is not as good as the new Final Fantasy.

TC isn't serious, obvious flamebait. FFXV doesn't look nearly as good as the TW3.

FFXV has far better character models, hair, much more happening on screen such as particles and giant monsters. TW3 has better foliage and denser foliage if you will. Other things are about equal such as lighting, textures and weather dynamics. I'd say they're about on equal footing. But pity FFXV is never coming out even after 9 years ffs.

FF -5: True innovation.

Witcher 3 is open world, while I don't think FF is. And those enviorements in FF look extremely barren and empty.

Witcher has insane detail in everything, FF doesn't.

FF has anime-styled characters and it's fine to prefer their looks, but they're extremely undetailed compared to Witcher 3 models. W3 ones aim for human-like appearances, those in FF seem like simple plastic dolls.

Still don't get why this comparison exists anyway. Both games will be better looking on PC. Why are peasants trying to fight this?

Was FFXV ever announced for PC? If it did then you hermit street beggars better have some patience for a year or two when the premium console gamers have our fill first.

Lol..dude, you realize that even if you're right about Witcher 3 being "hyped to hell and back for years" (which you are not), Final Fantasy Versus 13 ...I mean Final Fantasy XV has been hyped to hell a hell of a lot longer; since 2005. Fact

Difference being is that FFXV was hyped not for the graphics but for it to bring the FF-franchise back to form.

From the open world, like in the older games, to the the real time combat system they want to introduce.Those are some of the biggest reasons people were hyped about Versus 13 and still are for FFXV.

No it was pretty much done for the graphics. Don't think that these stupid graphic comparisons are relegated to the start of each gen. People were throwing around VS XIII pics for aeons in Xbox 360 vs PS3 vs PC graphics threads. It was especially used as ammo when FF XIII was revealed to be Xbox 360 and PS3 while Vs XIII remained PS3 exclusive.

Whatevs, Final Fantasy sucks in any case.

From what I've seen of FF15 is that its got lots of pretty but static environments.

Yes it should be but the world in FFXV seems less detailed and empty in comparison, maybe because it was originally designed for the ps3/360. So it could be that it hasn't fully let go of it's last gen restraints.
