So why did they add QTEish segments during attacks? Is it to make it feel more "actiony" or what?

I absolutely loved Final Fantasy 13, despite what everyone else things of it lol. I'm really excited for this one too!

My computer is playing up, can't get sound for some reason... Creative just don't like to support Linux it seems... Looks great though! Did i miss any cool sounds?JohnF111

Visuals are good, areas look less linear, gameplay looks fun. Will be getting it. However.... the character design looks awful (why do they keep letting Nomura create characters, he hasn't made a good character since FF X), and the dialogue is..just..bad.

One of the characters looks a lot like Monkey from Enslaved, minus the face makeup.

Please Square-Enix: don't force me to substitute a party member with a monster for the majority of the game :cry:

It wasn't cool when Dragon Quest V did it, and I heard it wasn't cool when Tales of Symphonia 2 did it either.

Visuals are good, areas look less linear, gameplay looks fun. Will be getting it. However.... the character design looks awful (why do they keep letting Nomura create characters, he hasn't made a good character since FF X), and the dialogue is..just..bad.

Actually, Nomura will only be designing the faces for the characters in this and other artists will design everything else so he's not to blame this time. :P

The face is still part of the design so I can partly blame Nomura (:P). But yeah, regardless, the character design is bad. Or is it just me?

The combat looks good, but the voice acting is still mediocre at best. I'll probably wait to see what the reviews say on this one.

Looks good, though the framerate got noticeably bad during Lightning's section.

Because voice acting was new to Square at that point, and you sort of let them off. After all this time, they no longer have an excuse for such poor writing and voice acting.

FF XIII was a travesty and I've no reason to believe this will be any different.

Story seems as cheesy as the first one... -_-

I'll pick it up, cuz i'm a sucker for rpgs :P

However i do hope they make the gameplay more varied, have you to chose your class instead of 13 where you could put points in everything with just a bit of farm. So i can have a reason to replay the game.

Still need to finish Final Fantasy XIII, never got around to it.

I hope they improve on it though, but adding QTE sequences wont do it. :P

Things I noticed from this video.

Voice acting and design for noel is solid, Sarah has a good design, Moogles have arrived, thank god. But the side charecters (the red haired big guy) look dreadful. come to think of it, all the side chars look awful.

Lightining is a main char with sarah = good

Hope is back = good, The only side char from the last game I did not hate in any way.

No snow = thank god

less linier from the looks of it = good

But it shouldn't matter is what I'm saying. Just because characters have bad voice acting doesn't mean you can't enjoy the game. Case in point: FFX. I'm not saying they shouldn't have good voice acting, I'm only saying it shouldn't matter.

Well sarah did call out for snow. So something has to be explained since ya know they are suppose to be married. It just wouldint make sense if they didint explain what happend and didint show him in some form.

Also I dont see how the dub is awful or anything. I notice some voices not so amazing though it seems the main cast has well done voice talent.

Iam I the only one who actually liked Snow from Final Fantasy XIII? Hope he comes back. That and the VA for the game is good as well.

Seems to me this game is gonna be even better than XIII. I wish more Japanese developers would use the Cbystal Tools engine. Its one of the best artistically imo
