Final Fantasy XIII-2 return with a new trailer. looking Great!

That looks pretty cool, but FF13's combat was best with three characters. This trailer showed two or one in combat at any time. I want my full party back! :cry: !

Iam I the only one who actually liked Snow from Final Fantasy XIII? Hope he comes back. That and the VA for the game is good as well.

Seems to me this game is gonna be even better than XIII. I wish more Japanese developers would use the Cbystal Tools engine. Its one of the best artistically imo

I actually liked all of the characters.

Maybe it's because I'm tired of the generic characters that plague other games. As annoying as people like Hope and Vanille were, I'd take them over characters from other games.

this game went from I'll buy it at bargin price to should I even bother. I simply can't get excited for it

I think it looks pretty good, and I don't think the voices are bad. Though, I'm not fond of the character designs.

Well looks like 13 and I didn't like 13 that much :S (Had more fun with RoF that time, they should make a sequel to that :S). Still not sure if I want to give it a chance after I didn't like 13 and hated 14 :S

Nice, very nice indeed. FF13 was stupidly underated and hated on, this looks to improve on it quite a bit.

Every game is hated on SW except BF3 it seems, after release ppl will hate it and so it will keep going, you shouldnt let those that hate on games affect you tbh, just buy them!

totaly agree on that, but Barrett didn't have a huge role as well, he was interessting in the beginning and a bit later in Corel, after that, he just walked behind you, nothing really memorable :S

If you are getting that random error when trying to link normally the 'tag a and rel bla bla error", just use BBCode, it seems to work.

As for the trailer, it looks good. I am excited about this game, even though FFXIII wasn't that enjoyable overall, I do enjoy my JRPGS. Only thing that annoys me is the voice acting lol.

Also I'm guessing that was Hope near the end, throwing the boomerang. Still no sign of Saz or Snow in the trailers so far. The trailer istelf seemed to be running a bit laggy. I don't know if that's how the game was running or just an issue with the trailer.

In regards to the Hope hate, yeah I think a lot of people hated him. Hell I did "BAWWW YOU KILLED MY MOM BUT YOU DIDN'T BUT I'M GONA **** ABOUT IT THROUGH THE FIRST HALF OF THE GAME". Least after that point on he was not so bad. I guess since he will be older now (5 years or so) so who knows, he could be bad ass.

Looks pretty good i just hope the Story is better this time.

Still need to finish the first. SE just keeps making automated combats, next they'll be making FFs so you just sit and watch fights unfold with no user input whatsoever. themyth01

It looks like they changed the "Get ahold of yourself! Lightning's dead!" line. That sucks.

Tbh, I'm really not even sure if I want this game.

I liked Final Fantasy XIII, but:

• Dialogue seems extremely exaggerated & corny.
• I actually don't like what looks to be the party (at least, at first) - Serah, that mary-sue guy & to a lesser extent, the NOEL members.
• So far.. No Snow. What the hell. I'd like NOEL if he was at the lead again. He was the Garrus of FFXIII. Though the party seems very feminine, so maybe he would seem out of place. Not happy.
• I paused on Hope.. He looks exactly the same. Stupid outfit & all. He's still using a boomerang. Damnit Square Enix, you try to develop his character to becoming this more mature, brave kid towards the end of XIII, but you still make him look like a ridiculous mummy's boy.
• Something is missing. It's leaving a massive hole in the game in my opinion. A hole that looks like a man with an afro.

Edit: After looking through many of these posts, I've come to a realisation as to why so many people look upon Final Fantasy as a joke, which then leads them to believe most jRPGs are. Why do people dislike Snow? In the same breathe, they claim to like Serah & Hope? If Square Enix listens to this community, Final Fantasy is dead to me. I'm not into angsty early-teenage drama personally.

Anyways, trailer looks great... I saw a Moogle! :) Battle system is returning with some tweaks, great visuals, hopefully a good soundtrack... let's just hope the characters and plot hold up.

So why did they add QTEish segments during attacks? Is it to make it feel more "actiony" or what?

Yeah I think it is to give the game a more western feel. Article on Game Informer though said that it was implemented smoothly and wasn't a nuisance.

Regardless how good this is, I wont get it. When I was playing ff13 which I didn't beat by the crazy boss battles I round up coming to the conclusion why play a game where I care nothing about the characters in the first place. Plus the battle system ughh!! Not to mention no japanese subtitle options either, I hate the english voices. I hope this game bombs.

I don't really like the trailer itself, but as one of the few fans of the first XIII game I think XIII-2 is going to be great. I'm very excited!

QTE have nothing to do with adding a western feel. It was actually RE4 that made it popular.

As for the trailer, man those lines were corny. "Humans aren't strong, they die quickly" dramatic pose!

Yeah, I'm willing to bet that Type-0 will be more enjoyable than this.
