Final Fantasy XV... thoughts?

another jrpg that will be at least 10 years behind current rpgs and probably 15 behind TW3.silversix_

I agree TW3 looks amazing, but from what I saw of the reveal, this game looks pretty amazing also. The difference is, I know what to expect for TW3, I've played TW2, it was phenomenal, so I know what to expect for the third. For FFXV, i really don't know because this game looks to be quite different from the rest.

I do not play jrpgs,but will this game have real time combat or turn based?

Ironically the real time combat is the reason i'm not hyped for it, i much prefer the traditional turn based or ATB system. Or even the same system as FFXII.

Same.  If I want real time combat I'll buy a game that does it right.

I prefer TB, ATB, or even ADB (FFXII) when it comes to FF games.

TBH as a FF fan I don't know if I care about turn-based quite as much as I used to since it is kind of outdated, IMO. I'm not totally against turn-based and would still be excited for a new FF that sports such a style, but I'm also not totally against them trying to go for something more action-y.

My concern with FFXV isn't that it is going for action RPG combat, but moreso just how "actiony" is it? I don't want the game to be super scripted or anything. And then secondly just how good the combat is, because the fact that this game has been held off for so long is a cause for alarm and leaves me cautious. If FFXV turned out to actually eb good then by all mean I'd be fine with action RPG combat.

im ok with it now because now that i think about it i dont want this game to be grouped with the monstrosity that is the FF13 universe

And it wasn't all that bad like everyone here likes to whine about. Everyone here all thinks that FF died after their personal favorite FF. Some say 6, some say 7, some say 8, some say 9, some say 10, some say 12. Personally I liked all of them and I liked 13 and 13-2 as well. Sure they weren't "as" good, but I would still rate them at an 8 while the others would be 9's and 10's. It was still good enough for me to easily sink 90 hours into it.

im in the same boat. People jsut like to complain so they do.

FFXIII looked fantastic but only turned out good.

Yea FF14 was an actual FACTUAL mess.
