Oh as for the worst out of those...FF XIII I guess.:? I watched an LP of it and if it wasn't for the guy commentating I would have totally lost interest in it.:P

Its clearly FF XIV, SE released a broken game and couldn't save it.

But why is ME2 on there? That's one of the best games this gen and arguably the GOTY last year.

The only game on the list that tied with other games was Mass Effect 2, so Mass Effect was chosen based on the amount of hate in its nominations which surprisingly was more than Cross Edges which made it to 6th place, but there can only be five.

FF XIV on this list, but the worst is actually Lost Odyssey.

Your attempts at deflection only solidifies my position. Since there was never any rational grounds for dismissing ME2 as an RPG, having eliminated that, this is the only explanation left for the misguided attempts to derail ME2's RPG standing. Try to disqualify it (how ever far fetched it is) so that it can't be a contender against all the rest. Just an underhanded way to fix the results :P

ME2 is an RPG alright. It's just that... it's questionable that what was left of the 'RPG'--in a mechanical sense--is all that enjoyable for the "RPG" to really shine through; hence, why it's being dismissed as one against our own standards and to what we're used to.

Not to crap on this ever so wonderful and unique thread, but why does it matter on our end if it -is- an RPG or not? It wouldnt have made the game any more, or any less enjoyable as a game, evenif it was, or if it wasn't an RPG/Shooter. I myself enjoyedMass Effect 2 for its sum of parts...

If anything, Im starting to believe those that express vitriol on the idea that 'Mass Effect 2 is not an RPG' has some sort of personal attachment to the genre and feel that the genre is threatened by its design.
