it was really the first well executed football game. you had only 8 plays - 4 on defense, 4 on offense. it was absolutely perfect.

First off before I begin laughing histerically at this post of yours. Tecmo Super Bowl was played for the NES mainly. Nobody really bothered with this less then par SNES versions. Second of all you were busy playing real games like Aladdin, Ren and Stimpy, and Lion King? Don't make me laugh! :lol:

Anyway, I'm very excited. In order for me to play the NES, I had to play against my older bros in Tecmo Bowl. I've won a couple times but they still wouldn't let me play there NES. Good times I say.

****! I forgot! Blaarrrg. Well it does have customizable teams, emblems, cities, abilities ect. So not only am I gonna create the new NFL rosters every year I can even make the old school rosters :shock:

Wonder if they will let you make a Bo Jackson lol. Nah that would be too cheap :P

I can imagine, I think it will do well without the NFL license.

It's on the DS. There won't be any Mii's in it. I was hoping they would make a version for the 360/PS3 with upgraded graphics and sound.

Don't you dare **** up Tecmo Bowl. No story, no graphic overhaul, don't touch the soundtrack, no DC comic characters... and god help you if you include Mii.

I'd hope to god they improve the graphics, football does not have a story to it, soundtrack had BETTTER AS HELL be touched up, mii is for WII not DS, and I doubt they'll include comic book characters. But no doubty ou hardcore fans will complain about so many little changes htey make just to modernize it for more than the 5 fans out there like you.

Wait. So the DS gets the best handheld version of Madden, the best handheld version of Tiger Woods Golf + Super Dodgeball Brawlers and Tecmo Bowl?

- 2d game
- no NFL teams or retired players
- 32 teams, named after cities that are in the spirit of the original Tecmo Bowl
- change team names if you like

But on a serious note, I'm hyped for this. Still waiting for a Mutant League Football /Hockey revival though.
