I know this might be hard for some people to comprehend...... but it's optional. As far as I can tell it isn't being forced on anyone that doesn't want to be involved with that route. It's an option that numerous games have allowed recently as an option. Keywords there being [b][i]allowed[/i][/b] and [b][i]option[/i][/b] - not [b][i]forced[/i][/b]. I wonder how many people that have played some of those recent games with homosexual preference options are in here now being hypocrites.

Kind of hilarious people are saying this is Nintendo "propaganda". Holy crap.... they're giving diverse options! They're going against my morals and ethics! THINK OF THE CHILDREN! I'd advise most to refer to my point above about which games they've bought and supported in the past that, from the current details at least, have far greater and vast romanceable options. I must say, the timing of this has been perfect. Fire Emblem discussions run even more rampant now than ever. Now if only Nintendo would release the game before the hype and publicity they just generated goes away.

As for why I shouldnt be bothered by this? It will be an optional part of the game, and will only impact someone's experience IF and only IF they choose to S rank a certain party member as a certain sex. What they are doing in this game is perfectly fine, as it doesnt look to be pushed on you in any way or handled obnoxiously. I will probably go through the entire game without even noticing that the option exists.

I wanted to buy an Inazuma Eleven game for my 3DS and I had to do some heavy research because there were three versions of the same damn game making me miss several teams, characters and parts of the story no matter what.
