First Game that Immersed you into the story...

The first Halo. The only story that came close to grabbing me like Halo did was Kotor.

People hate on Halo for some reason when comes to story, but I think the story is fantastic. I's the only reason I played the game, I hated the multiplayer, and usually hate those style of FPS's. But the story was just awesome.

A lot of people ignore the story because its a shooter and without paying close attention a lot of things can be missed during Action but I must agree with you the Halo story is amazing and it really helps the protangonist(MC) feel more llike a hero.

A good example is the landfall video(before Halo 3 release). Soldiers sacrifice themselves and go into battle just to target Master Chiefs crashing pod(this scene explains how MC was found in the beginning of Halo 3) showing how important the Chief really is to the world.

Sure there are better stories now, but at the time, when i was playing it at age 13 it was simply amazing.
