This screenshot doesn't look better that KZ2 ingame, actually.

Killzone 2's art design was extraordinary, and was a big part of what made it look so fantastic. I'm sad that the first look we get is a relatively generic shot. As for bullshots, well, I learned long ago to disregard them as indicators of technical quality.

For what it's worth, the comparison to Lost Planet/Lost Planet 2 isn't far off. Lost Planet 2's art design, one of its best features, is incredibly similar to Killzone 2's, and the structure in the rear bears more than a passing resemblance to structures in the original Lost Planet (which I played a load of today, and broadcast via Xfire). Snow isn't the only common denominator here.

Whatever it is, it looks pretty slick.
