Come on...kinda low, after IGN gave it a 9.0. Geez.

This is the worst review I've seen GT give (IMO). But then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Whilst the reviewer of IGN saw the comic book (S T Y L E.. damn filter) cutscenes very cool, this review saw them as lame. Whilst IGN said the game was more action than RPG, you guys said it was about a 50/50 split. There are so many differences. This really seems like yet another of those games where you either really like it, or you really don't. I am still on the fence though. I might wait till the holidays though, after Asassin's Creed and Uncharted.PSNOrin

I'm telling you know that ign overstated this game, its AA max. Unfortunately however I agree with Maddog (shocking yes), until gamespot reviews it you can all go cry on the banks of hades with the flop or not stuff.

funny how a 7.2 from GT gets more attention than a 9 from IGN, which imho IGN are better reviewers, i just watch the GT reviews for some game footage.kiwisama

lol isnt it great how IGN counts when they give an average game a 9 on PS3 but when MP3 gets a 9.5 IGN and all other sites dont matter on GS haha FLOPZZZZZ...

I expect that to be the norm. in the end 0rin, I don't think we'll see any scores that high from any other major sites. If we do, there will definitely be something to talk about...but in reality, had there been no IGN 9.0, you wouldn't have made that comment on GT's website at all. In fact, the only reason you even really care about the game now is because of that solo 9.

In reality, without that 9.0, the gamerankings average is below A.

And while you didn't like their review a lot, it doesn't mean it's any less accurate. 0rin, it's interesting that you ridicule GT for their differences of opinion about the game relative to what IGN had to say about it, yet you never stop to go the other way and question IGN's statements in the slightest. Really hoping this game is good is fine...but objectivity is a good thing in life.

Casey , this is BS and you know it. You're abusing the system.The game wasn''t really hyped to do anything .... maybe an A and the reviews have already came in. It is too late. No the hell it wasn't. I don't think the masses would have hyped it AA. That would mean hyping it to outperform Heavenly Sword. It won't do that and the demo gave no indications of such quality (gameplay...graphics were superb).

how would you kno what folklore is hyped? u have 25 posts unless ur a ban dodger or 2nd Accounting....Tell me something...when u see these threads asking who has the better lineup and cows that PS3 does because of x y and z...if there is Uncharted, Folklore, and say...UT3. Why would someone put Folklore...a game that you say is hyped A, to be better than the 360 games...u think A games are whats gonna win u 2007 in games? NO, so when people put those lists and list Folklore to beat the 360...its not cause they think its A

I understand that, but even for the game itself, there was never anything about it that caught my eye, made me say "OMG!" Kinda like Blue Dragon. It was just, "meh, ok..."

I downloaded the japanese demo and was floored by how uninspired and unimpressive the camera system and combat was. But I only played as Keets. Never gave the chick a chance after the demo left me unimpressed. I did love the graphics and the ripping of souls was interesting when it wasn't aggrivating as hell (on the big bosses, I found myself trying to rip their souls out for literally 2 minutes...just trying to get the SIXAXIS to cooperate enough to actually pull their soul out).

I saw sub-A to A level gameplay, with AA-AAA caliber graphics and sound. That translates to an A game in my world, where graphics without gameplay is worthless.

No, I simply believe there was no hype about this game. A few people talked about it after the demo...some people may have been excited. There was no official hype or even talk about A-AAA scoring possibilities. Only conversation about people liking or disliking the demo.

There's a reason no Cows have been talking about the game until suddenly: it was not a hit.

this game was announced at E3 2006 under a different name.
