It isnt even an argument. You get all the PC/360 exclusives, plus 360 exclusives, and you get blu ray plus all the PS3 exclusives. The PS3/360 combo is definitely the way to go if you have 600 to spend.

Build me a reasonable 600 dollar gaming rig then.VandalvideoWell for starters Mr. Vandal, do you own a PC as it -- and is it a desktop? ;)

thanks and a very spot on opinion to boot.
Another one of these type of threads? Honestly these arguments are being over used.
People obsess over the initial adoption costs too much, they are ignoring the long term.

$300 would pay for a video card and processor, but not much else if you want something truly superior to consoles. What's with all these anti-PC threads, lately? :?windsquid9000
PC gamers want to be included, well here are the comparisons, guess its better off thinking of PC gaming as an afterthought , afterall.

Funny, considering all but two games you mentioned are shooters.
It's not like I can even FIND flight sims on the consoles. And if I did, I'd be stuck with a CONTROL PADDLE instead of this:
It's not even an argument.
I'm afraid not. PC is the way to go, it just does so much more so much better. The sheer size of the PC library wastes the 360/ps3 combo, even if you take backwards-compat into account. Sorry, but you're very very wrong.

From November of 2005 to today. That's when the Xbox 360 games were first counted, so it's fair. PC dominates both the Xbox 360 and PS3 combined.[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Buying a PC gives you more exclusives than the PS3 and Xbox 360 combined.Idream2010

I'm sure that if you sum up every exclusive game on PC with a positive score that came out after the 360 and compare it with the sum of all the 3 consoles exclusives with positive scores. The PC would win by a dozen or two, if not more.

yeah lets include games before 2006, lol, i mean this is the arguments you are getting. I think Id rather play the next gen of games and not games that came out in 2002, and IM in the majority for sure. Thats like trying to compare xbox original games to 360 games, or ps2 games to PS3.

Even cows dont compare PS2 games to 360 games. You guys are really reaching now!!!
[QUOTE="savagetwinkie"] $300 would pay for a video card and processor, but not much else if you want something truly superior to consoles.VandalvideoDepends. If your standards are merely slightly above console standards; 30fps with barely HD resolutions: It wouldn't be all that hard. if you get something like a 4670 the perfomance will be below consoles, you might have higher resolutions but that card has a hard time keeping frame rates up, i have one, if you really want a good video card for any new games your looking at a min 120-150 right now, and a processor that would be $100-150. And even if you got the cheap ones, $300 is still not enough for the entire computer.
Buying a PC at the beginning of the generation has saved me hundreds in 20$ incremements due to cheaper games. Even if PC gaming were actually more expensive, I would still do it because of the improved graphics, mods, longevity, and multiplayer.

PC had more AAA games in that generation than PS2. I did the list here on GS for that, I can find it for you if you truely want me to.

You can buy an i5 661 3.46Ghz, GTS 250, 4GB RAM build for 600$. That is so far beyond consoles that it's laughable.

theres also indie/arcade games on 360/ps3, my point is, alot of the exclusives happen to be RTS and MMO's becasue they only work really well on PC's. But you really don't see tons of platformers on pc,if you get something like a 4670 the perfomance will be below consoles, you might have higher resolutions but that card has a hard time keeping frame rates up, i have one, if you really want a good video card for any new games your looking at a min 120-150 right now, and a processor that would be $100-150. Honestly the OP needs to give the new topic button a rest, I am increasingly recognising that avatar because they keep making anti PC threads. They probably think it's a good argument, even though it's incredibly shallow.
First off you have to completely ignore all PC advantages you are getting for the extra money, then you have to ignore you are paying more per game on these platforms than you do on PC; and possibly for extra services like Xbox LIVE. Then of course you have to ignore you are putting the lineup of two different platforms against one, even though consoles have less exclusives than PC; we have to ignore he's pulling the preference card to add greater value to console exclusives.
All these little inconvenient bits of information that have to be ignored before the argument even begins to resemble something with credibility. Then just throw in some hateboyism of PC and there you go, a weak argument that keeps being used again and again.
And, really, PC gaming only costs the price of the graphics card. Everyone has a decent dual core processor perfectly capable of even the most demanding games if they bought it within the last 4 years. Pop a HD 4850/GTS 250 in there for 100$ and you've got something far beyond consoles that practically pays for itself. When you get better versions of the games for 20$ cheaper, all you had to do is buy five games and the graphics card was free.
