For 600 dollars, a PS3 and Elite is so much better than a 600 dollar Gaming PC.

pc is better in every way . a 300$ pc would have better graphics then both put together .

This is so much fail on every single level. First of all your gonna need to spend atleast 500$ to get graphics better than 1 console And your gonna need 5 grand to get graphics better than both combined

I hope this is just a joke post or sarcasm.

You both fail massively.:| You will not need to spend at least $500 to get better graphics than a console, and no PC has better graphics than both consoles put together.

This doesn't even make sense. That's like me saying "Hey put these two Accuras together and they'll outperform this Ferrari".

It's not even possible so there's no point even making a hypothesis of it.

One way to end this debate on "the power" behind the console gpu's, transistor counts tell the performance differences. the more the merrier. The 360 Xenos has around 236 million and the PS3 has around the same all being under 250 million.

Nvidia 7800GTX 300 million - .25 x more = 50% faster

ATI 3870 over 660 milliom - 1.8 x = 400% faster (4x)

Nvidia 8800GT 754 million 2.2 x more = 500% faster (5x)

ATI 4870 950 million - 3.1 x more = 700% faster (7x)

ATI 5870 over 2 billion - 7.6 x more = 1700% faster(15x)

Also the Fermi having 3 billion is 16x+

Why would you take 2 systems against 1 anyway? AAA 11(PC) vs 14(PS360) AA 74(PC) vs 22(PS360) Completly destroyed! They have 3 more AAA's for more than 3 times less the AAMonsieurX

look at the spreadsheet! lol PS3/360 completely is the better choice, and oh yeah, the sales prove this as well.

Listen guys, hermit's profile is pretty obvious. I won't say it, because it seems u can't voice ur opinion in this site. HOWEVER, I can say that 360/ps3 combo is MUCH BETTER than ANY HIGH-END PC. It doesn't really matter how many AAA's or graphics or whatsoever. It comes down to how social you are (I hope u guys get my point about hermit's profiles with this).

I've got a PC/PS3/360. The PS3/360 combo is nice but really, neither of the consoles can provide an experience that measures up to PC gaming, so most of my gaming is still on the PC. They get a few fun games every once in awhile though. :)

You don't even need a gaming PC to play some of the older PC exclusives. I think one would be better off keeping their PC and just buying a PS3/360 unless of course your PC can't even run the older games.

ok thanks for posting that, now combine the PS3/360 exclusives and compare them both to the PC, oh no now it doesnt look so good for the PC. Thanks for making my point, next time be fully aware of what my point is before you prove it for me!

Idream2010

As I said, you would encourage a defensive response because you enjoy arguing and want to prolong this thread. On top of that you are lieing again, most likely intentionally. I've already touched on this subject in this thread, you just ignored it.

PS3

AAAA (1) AAA (6) AA (9) A (15) Total = 31 Exclusives

360

AAAA (0) AAA (8) AA (13) A (12) Total = 33 Exclusives

PC

AAAA (0) AAA (11) AA (74) A (-) Total = 85 Exclusives

31 PS3 exclusives plus 33 360 exclusives equals 64 exclusives, which doesn't even cover PCs AA exclusive line-up.

So as you can see, the PS3/360 line-up combined does not look bad for PC as you claimed. However you are now going to respond in a manner that will provoke another defensive response, then another, that's what flame baiters do. You are not interested in being right or wrong, simply continuing the argument.

Getting a PC with superior technology than a PS3 or 360, vast array of exclusives, and a Bluray driver for under $1000 is well worth it, especially when you're able to use it for more than just games.

Sure, I guess so. But I can really see the appeal of it PC gaming, it's just as good of an option for gaming as the rest. It's just not for me, all my favorite games are on consoles. I'd like to play Crysis and get TF2 updates, but that's all I'd like from PC, personally.

I will take PC's greater line of games, options, and support over those two system combines anyday. Not saying those two systems aren't good themselves, I own them as well, but the PC benefits so much more. And not your preference BS, constant evasion of the the other side's facts, or constantly weak attempts at rekindling the fire with balantly wrong facts will change that. This thread is just a bunch rinse and repeat of falsely facts, righting those false facts and throwing out more false weakly put together information to be dealed with. Pc is definate gaming, and very so much more than that.

I will generally play with whatever suits the game. A keyboard and mouse really slaughters controllers for FPS games. It also doesn't help that most console shooters (UC2, Halo 3, Gears of War 2) have somewhat unresponsive controls too.

look at the spreadsheet and all these pc gamers going nuts over the AA list, LOOK at the AA list for PS3, 360, and PC. The AA list on the PC is horrible compared to the list on the PS3/360. I'll also add in that my PC is practically a $600 gaming PC. E8400, a 9800GTX, a 160GB HD, and 2 GB of RAM with a borrowed copy of Windows is pretty much what a $600 PC would be today. My console setup consists of a 42" 1080P Panasonic (from the highly rated G10 series) and a surround sound setup which I built costing me around $1,300. I've got at least 40 games spread out in between my PS3/360. But when it comes to down gaming with friends, you'll find me playing on my PC. I play Starcraft almost daily - a game from 1999 (or 1998?). Still seems consoles don't really have any multiplayer games that can match up to Starcraft, a game that's older than a decade. It's really not hard to see why PC Gaming is just more satisfying for some people. Consoles really fail to provide that engaging online experience. It probably doesn't help too that the 360/PS3 are so slow. It would take me probably 5 minutes to get into a multiplayer match of Uncharted 2 if I left to it after hitting "submit". On the flip side, if I wanted to get into a game of Counter-Strike: Source, it would take me not much longer than 20 seconds. Console players whine about the PC being difficult to use, but if you've played PC Games for longer than a few years, you'll see that PC Gaming features unmatched convenience and functionality.

Console players whine about the PC being difficult to use, but if you've played PC Games for longer than a few years, you'll see that PC Gaming features unmatched convenience and functionality. look at the spreadsheet! lol PS3/360 completely is the better choice, and oh yeah, the sales prove this as well.

Idream2010

But that's only counting games that came out after 2005. Include earlier PC games and the consoles get nuked to hell and back. Oh and if you're one of those people that thinks 'old games don't count', than we shouldn't even take you seriously.

look at the spreadsheet and all these pc gamers going nuts over the AA list, LOOK at the AA list for PS3, 360, and PC. The AA list on the PC is horrible compared to the list on the PS3/360. And the 74 AAE's, well thats because they are alot of RTS's and expansions, whereas the 360 and PS3 have less AAE's because they are actually not exclusive because they are on the PS3/360 and NOT the PC lol, look at the AA list, if you call PS3/360 games that are AA and not on the PC and make them now AAE's whichis basically what im saying in this thread, the list is drastically different with a much better AAE list on the PS3/360 side! Oh man I love how I completely just shutdown about everyone in this thread. again LOOK at the AA list and consider everything I said. THE PS3/360 DESTROYSSSSSSSSSSSSSS the PC, it aint even debatable. I REST MY Case and YES i am coming out of this thread LOVING myself! My opening statement is confirmed true! I rest my case!

But it doesn't work this way,and therefore DESTROYSSSSSSSSSSSS your argument. And PC has as much RTS as PS360 have shooters

RTS's or SHooters? lol its funny all the bigtime devs are going with the shooters!!!! and oh yeah sales back my arguement as well. I have the hat trick for making my point. You guys have nothing!!! keep grasping at straws!

You know I get the feeling TC tried to get into PC gaming but it didn't work out for him. What's wrong TC, couldn't figure out where to put the video card?

Hasn't the TC already made a bunch of topics exactly like this one? I've seen his name on quite a few PC related topics in the past couple of days.

Try again in 7 years and I bet you'll be hard pressed to find a single soul playing Halo 3. Starcraft on the other hand is more lively than most console games. And , I'm sure you would take Halo 3. I played Halo 3 on day of release and like most PC Gamers, I found it unimpressive. But that's really the difference between PC Gamers and console games. You're satisfied with something like Halo 3, and we're not.

Whoa, time out. Don't lump all PC gamers together. Halo 3 is an excellent game and I'm glad I bought it day one.

I love my PS3 and my PSP but how can i compare it to my PC really ? There is no comparison.

xsubtownerx

I guess. For someone who only plays shooters. And judging from your sig, I can see why you feel that way/

And judging from my sig i play only shooters ? Hows that ? I got a military sim, shooter, RPG, TPS, and RTS games that i play ? I belong to few clans onhttp://gamebattles.com/profile/SovietSSwhich i mostly play Socom and Modern Warfare 2 and MAG all for my PS3. So what does that saY ?

I actually liked Halo:Combat Evolved's campaign. The setting and storyline was pretty epic with a couple of inspirations clearly taken from Aliens, predator,Star ship troopers, etc . Its too bad that the crowd that picked up the game demanded more multiplayer and couldn't appreciate the original direction of the first game.

I'm sure some enjoyed it, but for the most part it really doesn't deliver. Which is weird since Halo 2's multiplayer was pretty good for what is was. It's really not surprising that Modern Warfare is more popular than Halo 3. A multiplat has become more popular than the 1st party title.
