For those not buying the PS4, what are your reasons

i want an xbox because its games appeal to me more, and i want the better online system.  plus titanfall is my next big multiplayer addiction.

The current game lineup has a lot of "maybe" I would want to get into that. Like Shadow Fall needs to show me a multiplayer as fun as Killzone 2. I have no interest in its campaign, I'm not too fond of what I've seen of Drive Club, and infamous 3 carries the baggage of being an infamous game: As in games I find fun for the 2/3rds mark, and then the final third just bores me. Knack could be cool though. That looks like something potentially refreshing.

Otherwise I'd rather spend money on the PS4. I think Sony's first party is more capable, Naughty Dog and Santa Monica doing new ips would be legit, and the return of Team Ico would be really nice. Oh and there is that Ready at Dawn game. Oh and it's 400 dollars and PS+ has more incentives than XBL these days with the way sony handles the free stuff/sales on that.

I don't know. I see myself getting both at launch, because f*ck it. But both have giant question marks, and are a lot of f*cking money considering my PC will be doing most of my gaming as far as third party games and indie games(as in the stuff I like way more).

I'm curious as I've seen tons of threads that just assume everyone wants a PS4. But I know I'm not one of them for the following reasons:

1. First and foremost, Xbox exclusive games appeal to me more than Sony exclusive games.

2. I genuinly am interested in the entertainment features the Xbox One will have, as well as the exclusive content and nthe ability to quickly switch between games, streaming and live tv. The possibility of more cable companies coming onboard with MS gives me the possibility of saving money monthly as I'll be able to ditch renting the box. Time Warner is first to announce a deal with MS and I hope Comcast comes up next. Those savings along could add up to well over a 100 bucks a year. PS does not the depth of these functions.

3. I think the voice and motion commands are cool features and interesting. PS4 does not have these abilities.

4. Kinect 2.0 seems light years better than the first model and my son was a big fan of it. I'm curious what developers may be able to do with it. The PSEye seems like a tacked on device Sony doesn't have much faith in.

5.Im a big fantasy football fan, so the Xbox One's app is something that interests me as well. Sony does not have this.

6. Turning the HD TV I already own into a smart TV with all of the above mks the Xbox One a clear favorite in my eyes over the PS4. PS4 in my eyes is simply a much more powerful PS3, and for the price I just feel a system must give me more than better graphics. And in that area IMHO the Xbox One clearly outshines the PS4. Having better graphics is the only thing I see the PS4 has over the Xbox One, and even in that regard I haven't seen the games yet that show it. For the extra 100 I can see the value in my purchase. But not the 400 for a PS3+.

So having seen everything, all the shows and demos, ect. If you are not buying a PS4, contrary to many beliefs that everyone is, what are your reasons? It doesn't matter if you hate the Xbox One too, or you're a PC or Nintendo guy or girl. Just curious as many seem to think everyone loves the PS4 to death.

I am buried in a nightmare of a video game backlog right now (probably at 200+ unplayed games).

So, I am going to do my best to either beat or sell my unplayed games until I can get that number into the single digits.

Buying a new platform would only make things worse and they haven't done much to convince me that I shouldn't just keep on PS3 gaming in the future instead of PS4.

I'm definitely getting a PS4 down the road just not at release day cause:

1. Still too many current gen games to play

2. Start leaning towards PC gaming (or at least trying to catch up with some classics that my PC can run)

3. Known hardware problems on every launch console

4. PS4 and PS4 games will be cheaper later on

Wont ever EVER buy an x1 or a WiiU. Thats for sure. Unless MS keeps pumping lots and lots of interesting exclusives down the road, something I REALLY really doubt they'll do. MS is Halo, gears, Forza and nothing more

2) Controller sucks.

3) I spend all my time online, so i prefer a premium online service with emphasis on the cloud.

4) Im hyped for titanfall and Halo.

They have brought nothing new to the table.  I didn't wait 8 years for that so f*ck em'.

I don't trust PSN. That's about it - matchmaking is atrocious - updates are insanely slow. Until there's proof that Sony upped their online aspect I'll be sitting on the sidelines.
