[QUOTE="DMWhiteDragon"][QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"][QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"][QUOTE="TrueReligion_"]It's only scaled to that resolution. It's not really 1080p.Adrian_Cloud
Yeah, Virtua Tennis will likely be the first native 1080p game. I already told you its not native. All "1080p" games, The signal will only come in as 1080i and be de-interlaced back to 1080p. not "true" HD, if you ask IGN.Quote: "IGN: There are very few 1080p native HDTVs that accept 1080p via Component connections. The signal will only come in as 1080i and be de-interlaced back to 1080p....."
Quote: "IGN: Will games begin to be developed with 1080p as the native resolution, or is the 360's new 1080p support an advance in the console's internal scaling abilities?
Microsoft: If developed, the Xbox 360 will support playback of native 1080p games and all existing Xbox 360 titles can be up-scaled to 1080p."

According to the VERY SAME IGN article... it is NATIVE 1080p... stop spreading lies my god lol
Im starting to believe we really DO have plants here (from all companys)
Thats in my above quote, if you read it fully, and stop butting into other peoples posts and say there telling lies. Dont just skip to the last page, and mis every thing that was discussed. Get real. this is 360 Native 1080p(as also seen in Lost Planet)T:he signal will only come in as 1080i and be de-interlaced back to 1080p PS3 NAtive 1080p: Signal is fully received in progressive1080.Again you are WRONG ma lad-o ;)... you are either trolling/lying or grossly misinformed... i made posts before about how wrong you were... you are ignoring them so i can only assume you are lying.
The 1080p signal is not interlaced then deinterlaced at all... you are VERY confused here... you need to re-read the article untill you actually understand whats going on
You have a very valid gripe about HDMI as i do myself... MS should add the cable as they in that very article say they can
Now lets get to examples:
1080p Native TV, supports 1080p via HDMI only
Result: Only option is to use 1080i over component and the TV will deinterlace the signal to support its 1080p native display
1080p Native TV, supports 1080p via HDMI and Component
Result: Perfect native 1080p signal from the 360
Now the games... if we are using tv 2... and the game is 1080p native.. not just 'supported'.. then we get a pure true hd 1080p native experiance... all using the 360
I mean the article itself that YOU are using as information tells us this ^^
read it... again... carefully
EDIT: damn malformed html errors... i hate these editors heh
