[QUOTE="CwlHeddwyn"] the point is and if you watched them compare GT4 to real-life you'd know what the point is- the point is this: I'm sorry racing sim fans but racing sims do not come close to what its like to race a real car. despite the tens of millions spent on making a racing simulator- fact is you gotta take a sports car around a racing track in real life to get real experience.

yup Clarkson said the same in his weekly column i remember reading it, he said yeah these video games have advanced but still dont actually fully grasp and replicate the real deal.Due to many things Real racing is more unpredictable theres other elements to consider making it a much more intense experience overall.IF you crash you cant just hit some reset or restart button.
And to the people calling bias i wouldnt say so theres no build of GT5's actual release where they can do a comparrasin like with Forza and i can see where they are coming from with the sense of detachment in general with sims and Forza's just looking to be shot down purely cause its the newest one and they keep touting it as realistic you cant beat a car nut when it comes to these kinda comparrasins.
To be bluntly honest they tore GT4 a new one for the same things what makes the diffrence with forza? oh yeah lems suddenly will play down the fact that they have deals with polyphony even though they have been extremely critical of Gran Turismo in the past i dont see how its gonna change with 5.
They might miss any critical comment about a game that will be showing their programme world wide so GT5 fans will actual watch there show. Come on you know how emotional the PS3 fanboy are. If top gear said anything bad about GT5 you would have fanboy getting partition started to stop people watching the show and to get it removed from GT5 in game download/stream.
thats so very true xD i can actually imagine system wars right now if that were to happen and to be totally honest most likely will as most writers of that magazine and presenters of the show are absolute petrolheads and would put Kazunori to shame so badly but developers should really take on board what people like these say.And i would like to point out that the writer of this article is actually frequently in the magazine which is actually totally diffrent from the show as it deals with the more every day aspects of motoring along with the "car porn" xD
its obvious, polyphony wrote a huge check to mr james shovlin.

lol bring some proof rather than some statement it helps a lot in these cases as i will say these guys prolly know more about motoring than the whole of SW's collective mind put together.

Not remember Top Gear on Prologue ;)The damage control in here is ridiculous, especially from the people who call themselves Car Racing Game enthusiasts. Anyone who likes cars has heard of Top gear. It is only the best car show in existence. For those saying they suck cause they don't like anything American, that is not entirely true. Lets face it, the majority of American cars are crap. But ask Jeremy what he thinks of a Ford GT(which he owns). What about a Saleen S7? ACR Viper? they only like quality cars and that is all. Plus the show is hilarious to watch even if you know nothing of cars.
on another note, an intern does not represent the whole of Top Gear. Its just this guys opinion. Its not known if he owns or drives high dollar performance cars, on a race track competently. Just take it with a grain of salt. You guys take things way out of proportion.

Not remember Top Gear on Prologue ;)yeah true but we the british public know all to well how vocal Top gear get, especially Jezza and he barely listens to BBC as it is looks at episode where he was to compare economical cars picked a super car and a daewoo or something and crapped all over the daewoo and the producers werent too chuffed.
But still they like to bash games that claim to be realistic put it that way especially Jezza he was extremely critical of GT4 and its sense of detachment i cant see how he would really change that.

What's Top Gear?
spike6566
It's the show of all shows.
guess its not that great then, never heard of it.
its like the best car show in the world.
[QUOTE="RawDeal_basic"]
I still predict AAA.
Edit: Also, I've heard of Top Gear before, but now that they said something bad about Forza 3, they are the biggest show on earth, with billions of people watching every episode. Forza 3 is a -100,000,000 out of 10 now.
Espada12
Let's take a spin on this, now that they said something bad about forza 3 they are a meh show and don't matter! Forza is a 1000000000000 of 10 ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!! If anyone could say if a sim was accurate or not it would be these guys.
No, no, you're right sir. Top Gear has the final word here. Forza 3 can't be compared to the powah of GT5.
