IMO that is. So far the FPS genre is a dying one IMO, just to much of the same, but K2 will change that, not just visually for console, its the weight, depth and overall experience that IMO, hasn't been seen in a console FPS before, the animations are insane and just seems fun to play. I see my self just running around and shooting people to death, even after they are dead, just to see the reaction and insane blood work.
i think what i love the most is the movements/animations, it look real and handles real, GG wasn't joking when they said they want it to feel like a movie.

Hhhmm.. more CGI video. Wasn't this same video shown at the E3 a couple years ago?
I hope Resistance 2 is good. It looked good anyways. Will wait for the ratings on all these games before I waste my money.
 at the people saying Killzone 2 isnt generic
What does that game do that takes it to the next level in terms of the FPS genre :?
Killzone 2 has amazing graphics. It looks pretty bloody awesome.
But,
It looks like Call of Duty 4. Not only could I see the puppet master pulling the strings in every action set-piece, but due to the frequent use of scripted events, was relatively unreplayable compared to other FPSes.
(Halo) brought nothing new to the table. Everything in Halo has been done before, but better.
That being said I enjoy the series.
peeviness
It made the flexible two-weapon system worthwhile in a non-tactical FPS, and it implemented vehicles as part of the overall game mechanic.
Since 2004, it has influenced the idea of regenerative health (for good or for bad), and revolutionized Xbox Live matchmaking, and to this day continues the unbeatable presentation in Halo 3.
That being said, don't innovate for the sake of innovating. It'll just bring you down
[QUOTE="skrat_01"]Oh indeeed im not surprised that you playing it more often - Halo 3s sp is very replayable, however I just find the other two have better singleplayers.[QUOTE="SSCyborg"]
Seriously? I find myself playing Halo's SP more than the OB games, and COD4.

Well im very aware of the critical praise that the game got, however does that mean that the games design ultimately wasent flawed in any respect?err. GTA4 scored a 10 and praised greatly by reviewers. So what rockstar did payed off, no matter how u look at it. GTAIV was an awesome game, IMO. Yes it was more serious, but thats the way i like it.

Never said it was not a great game....
better than cod4s sp???? oh come on stop lying to yourself
COD4 is short, however its so well scripted, paced and told, yes its defitnaly better than Halo 3'sAnd no im not 'lying to myself',in all due respect this is the truth. Halo 3s singleplayer had a huge amount of flaws.
Am I the only one who thinks that the actual logistics of the game are just...ridiculous?
The little carts that they fly in on at the begining for example, I would imagine if any technology for air transportation were made it wouldnt be on flying carts that lack seats or straps to hook people in. So...stupid.

like? the only ones i could ever think of is br dominance and marine gunners.I think they are cool. They remind me of the hybrid tank-boat vehicles used to storm the beach at Normandy; highly exotic machines created for one purpose, to get personnel and equipment quickly and efficiently into battle.Am I the only one who thinks that the actual logistics of the game are just...ridiculous?

??????
forget the grphics... what is special exactly about this game? looks like some kinda cod4 ripoff from what i've seen. anyway i would say that the console FPS king is halo 3

1. COD4 killed Halo 3 a long time ago.
2. Seeing as COD4 was pretty dam amazing, i'm glad Killzone 2 is taking notes from it. Killzone 2 with it's own bleak atmosphere, amazing graphics + COD4 controls/mechanics = instant winner.

I like how that has nothing to do with how fun or good looking the game is.
Some people try a little too hard.
