I expect there to be at most a 5% difference in performance between the two. The XBox One will only perform slightly better than the PS4. The same situation we had with the 360 and the PS3.
The PS4 will probably have some frame rate issues, but the Sony fans will ignore them.
Â
Not at all. The 360 is technically weaker than the PS3 and did fine. People will be fine with whatever console they choose.Â

How can you assume any of that when the systems have similar architecture and the PS4 clearly has the better specs?
Nothing about this is "Â The same situation we had with the 360 and the PS3."

For those of you who are buying a XBOX ONE at launch or sometime thereafter, I was curious if you are at all afraid that at some point down the road, 3rd party devs may not make games for the X1 because of an apparent lack of "horse power under the hood" so to speak? Or do you think that the the difference in technical specs between the XBOX ONE and PS4 is being way overblown by the Sony fanboys?ShoTTyMcNaDeSLOL is this thread serious? The difference in "horsepower" was much wider last generation between the PS3 and 360. Infact, the PS3 was almost double the power of the 360. The difference now is roughly 20%-25%. which is still a lot. But sony fanboys try desperately to make it seem like the PS4 is some kind of god box. The problem is, the PS4 doesn't even have the technology to handle games like Titanfall orr give you the full game experience of watch dogs. So no. not in the least.

Explain RR0D then. The RROD was caused by the government mandated switch to leadless solder. And MS has by far the deepest pockets and will easily have tons and tons of 3rd party support for many years to come. It is not even the smallest concern I have. Devs will continue to get more and more out of both consoles as they get more familiar with what each strengths and weaknesses are. That's how its always been and will continue to be. MS will have very strong third party support for many years.

anyway,
Im mot even mad cause Titanfall is gonna be a timed exclusive anyway, or at least most likely considering the dev said a PS4 version isnt out of the question. Not to mention that "teh CLOWDS" are not required to play Titanfall, its just some overhyped, unproven tech that MS is hyping to everyone. I own a Nintendo console and you're worried about Xbox One getting shafted?
If the PS4 is as powerful as Fanboys here say it is, It will be the most shafted because 3rd Parties will aim to release a game in the most platforms as possible.
PS4 will never peak in power in the hands of 3rd Party. (that is if we believe the fans interpretation of "Power".)
You know what? Â I asked this very same question to a couple fat virgins at Gamestop. They said, and i quote, "xbox one sucks." Â These guys would know because they are cool.Â

No shown PS4 game was running at sub-1080p... Can't say the same about the games shown for the xbox ONE...
And you shouldn't worry about the PS4. We already know what it's capable of after seeing it run The Division fairly smoothly.
The ONE can't even play linear non-racing/fighting games at 1080p at 30 FPS.

When questioned, Evolution Studios confirms that it's pushed for a full-fat 1080p presentation, falling in line with all Sony's other leading PS4 titles. Unfortunately, this higher resolution only amplifies the low quality, blurry, flat-looking textures used across this level, which would easily look at home on current-gen hardware. It's also a shame that, while the scenery draw distance is broad, there's an incredible amount of pop-in for trees and waving NPCs as we approach at high speeds...With regards to performance, we're surprised to find DriveClub is running at 30fps with permanent v-sync - an unusual step for any modern-day racer putting heavy emphasis on shaving seconds from lap times. It is noted that 60fps is something the team strives for, but no promises can be made; in the interest of providing a smooth E3 experience it remains decidedly locked at 30fps for now. Alas, even this number isn't held convincingly during our play-testing, and the game dips noticeably below this point - a feeling of 20fps being achieved during doughnut-turns, where lots of tyre friction smoke is produced. Bearing in mind the PS4's next-gen tech (not to mention its 32 ROPs), we're somewhat surprised to see alpha transparency effects still having such an obvious impact on performance. They have no dropped the resolution to 720p and still cannot hit that 30fps mark.
