G4 had it's annual Gphoria games awards, and it was a major sweep for Gears of War, claiming 6 prizes including Best Game. Sorry fanboys, this was G4 so I don't think you can use the "it's dominated by lemmings" excuse :) Results below.

Not trying to claim ownage. Just sharing game related news of the acclaim titles are getting out there. If you're referring to GeoW, Gphoria is NOT the only place it got such critical acclaim.

As for Vaan, I guess they wanted to offer a bit of equal opportunity and not limit the label of "babe" to just women. If he even qualifies... I'll leave that to the female gamers to decide :)

I love Gears it earns all the critical acclaim it got, but HATE G4. I just disliked them before, but after they cut off the Mass Effect trailer at E3 I now Hate them

I agree with Chaos. G4 is not nearly as credible source of as it used to be, IMO. I feel like they've drifted more and more from what's truly good to what's popular with most gamers. But I'll agree that Gears deserves the awards it took home.edub30

Yea I was going to post about that too but you beat me to it. I haven't played galactic civ 4 but I can say that the other ones on that list are all better than cnc 3 by a long shot. Imo ofc.

I think the best voice actor out there is Keith David, credits including:

* Goliath - Gargoyles
* Spawn - HBO's Spawn Animated
* The Arbiter - Halo 2
* Saint's Row (not sure of character name)
* upcoming role in Mass Effect

Plus he's acted live in movies such as Pitch Plack (plus the crappy sequel), and Armageddon. That's all I can think of at the moment.

Becasue the Cole Train is not the main protagonist of Gears of War. Look at the games that were mentioned. Amaterasu (a new character) is the protagonist of Okami. Frank West (a new character) is the protagonist of Dead Rising. Midna (a new character) although not the main protagonist of ZeldaTP (They can't add link seeing as how he's not new).

I don't know WTF they have Mii up there. But I'm guessing they can only have one character nomination per game.
