The Halo universe has transcended Bungie Studios. Ensemble Studios is working on a game. So is Weta Interactive. Microsoft doesn't actually need Bungie for another game with "Halo" in the title. Most consumers won't even think twice if there's a game with "Halo" on the cover with a Spartan, even if it was made by Guerilla Games.

Bungie have proven themselves to Microsoft. They can do almost anything they want. But they've already stated that they are working on a new IP, and that they may also like to make a few games that are within the Halo universe, but are not FPSs.

No. As noted in the rumor, MS will retain rights to the Halo franchise. Bungie could create a new IP for the PS3, but it wouldn't be anything bearing the Halo name.

If you know how business works, then you would know that Microsoft would never, ever be stupid enough to sell Bungie along with its Halo IP. If Microsoft sells Bungie, they will make sure that they retain all rights and ownership of the Halo franchise.

Halo will never be seen on a Playstation console as long as Microsoft is in the business of making video game machines. If they decide to stop doing this, then they might publish a Halo game for a Sony or Nintendo console.

i wonder how much bungie would have to charge for halo in order for them to have more money then microsoft. this is without a doubt in of the most idiotic things that i have heard latley. to GARRYTH , lets say microsoft is worth a 50 billion. lets assume that their are 40 million units of xbox and 360 total sold. if everyone brought a copy of halo that ones one at a price of 1000 dollers , then bungie would still not be able to have money to equal microsoft(let alone buy it)
