Game of the year so far?

Whats the game of the year so far? we have already had a huge amount of impressive stuff, and its not even the holiday season.

i mean, Mass Effect 2, Starcraft 2, Read Dead Redemption, SMG2, God of war 3 etc... for me, game of the year so far is easily Mass Effect 2. Hands Down. what about you?

(sorry guys, i mindlessly forgot to put God of War 3 in, it wouldnt fit in the pole anyway. if you want, you can assume AT LEAST half of those "other" votes are GoW3, Sorry again!)

SMG2.

Is this really a fair poll? I can't imagine many people have played all these games, not to mention SCII has only been out for a short period.

SMG2 has GOTY in a steel box with a 4 digit combination lock.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 or S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.

On that list I've only played RDR. It was a good game, but if it can be considered GOTY at the end of this year, then this year will have sucked.

LBP2 will most likely be mine though.

SMG2 or SC2 - tough call though.

Easily Starcraft 2 and God of War III, followed by Heavy Rain and SMG2.

for me the ninja gaiden series ruined me ever since i find all action adventure game shallow. even god of war it has very few combos and moves compared to ninja gaiden but i love god of war im a big fan. but bayonetta is the only game that is on par with ninja gaiden it is so fast controlled are extremely responsive and the fighting system even is as deep as ninja gaiden.

Mass Effect 2 followed by RDR. I haven't played the others due to having no time :( I'll pick them up soon enough.

You seem to have left off one of the 2 AAA(+) exclusives this year from you poll...

So far this gen, every GotY winner has been a AAA (or AAAA) exclusive (well, except Gears, but it WAS exclusive at the time it was picked as GotY). So when there have only been 2 AAA/AAAA exclusives this year, why would you not put them both in the poll?

Its kinda sad that none of the games in the poll are in any way original. I guess you could say RDR is a bit original, but thats only the setting the rest of the game is pretty much GTA.

I've played none of those games (or any game from 2010, for that matter). However, I predict that GS will pick SMG2 as GotY.

MGS:Peace walker.

Epic game, good story, gameplay is top notch and addictive as hell, merges all the best bits of MGS games to an extent and plays like a dream and can be played in short bursts aswell as big massive sit down and beast it :P.Multiplayer is a good laugh aswell :P

tbh it edged out RDR and is running a country mile past everything i played this year and the best laugh is its a handheld game.

I'll tell you when I play more games that actually came out this year, I've spent the year clearing up a backlog.
