well yeah I guess you have a point, but there are no games that you have just gotten so sick of to the point that you wished there developers would move on?
Final Fantasy. I like the series but maybe Square should move on. I think the series should go out with a bang, the last instalment being XV or XVI and the story being a huge universe brige of all the series, all the main characters meet.

tales of the world radiant mythology is fail.
sorry can't agree with u, the second i finish a final fantasy i'm waiting for the next one to come out, basically most games i play are like side dish and final fantasy is the main meal but like avian005 said, just make them betterFinal Fantasy. Nope. I just play the game, think about how it could've been better, and then play another game. Sonic could be amazing if the developers could make it right.Mario should just R.I.PGreymonits nintendo's mascot, its here to stay whether we like it or not sadly, I stopped caring about mario games YEARS ago
It's really funny how many people want to kill off quality series because they don't happen to enjoy them anymore.
Anyway, I think Need For Speed should be put away if Shift and Turbo both fail to reinvigorate it. Forcing Criterion to work on the series and hoping that will fix everything is not a good idea.

To each their own but personally Im getting tired of the series..... but it seems SE is attempting change with XIII, if they keep the changes rolling and bring something new to each FF I wouldnt mind the series going on for another 10 instalments :P

its called opinion, your gonna hve to get used to it :P
and I agree NFS has been hitting a weak patch lately. They may need to take a hibernation for a while.
its called opinion, your gonna hve to get used to it :Pdragonfly110No, really, I'm serious. It's just ridiculous to say that Mario, Halo, etc. should die when they're still critically-acclaimed and commercially successful series. Why should they be put away if millions of consumers still like what they're getting from the games?

ooh, I get what your saying now, I thought you were saying that peoples opinions on games was stupid, once again I misreadyour post. (man Im doing that a lot today...)
Call of Duty should either evolve or die.AAllxxjjnn...yeah...no. Just...no. I'd rather see Call of Duty die than have Infinity Ward evolve Call of Duty for the "better" (by "evolve for the "better"" I mean pulling a Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts). How should it evolve anyway?

What else should change?
Call of Duty should either evolve or die.AAllxxjjnn
Put Resident Evil out of its misery. The characters are all ridiculous now - how many times is Wesker gonna be the stale bad guy? - and the game lost its soul. Capcom should keep making action games like RE4 and 5, but call them something else AND make another suvival horror series. I'd buy both, but calling these new games "Resident Evil" is no good. Bring back the mansions and teh scary!!!
Nintendo franchises... don't get me wrong, I like mario, metroid, zelda, kirby, etc, etc, etc as much as the next guy...RoushrshYou going to finish that post?

We've seen too many of them. I'm hoping Nintendo tries some new hard core franchise rather than sticking with old ones and putting out casual junk. I've enjoyed most of their games, but they should really try their hand at something new... Do any of their games contain voice acting? Their games were fun when I had the attention span of a cow and enjoyed watching a plumber jump over plants and eat mushrooms. Zelda's still fun, but it feels like I'm playing the same game over and over again. 8 dungeons, get a prize at the end of each one and complete them. Motion plus gives me hope of something more unique to come. I'm one of those who tried getting the wii everyday since launch and finally got it a few months later by going 5 hours before the store opened. Maybe I'm spoiled by better graphics. Hmm...

I kind of agree... but without Nintendo's franchises, there wouldn't be very many new gamers. Their series' are a great starting point for people. Sure we eventually grow out of them but that's what the other platforms are for. :P
I think you guys that are familiar with my posts can guess what I'm going to say:
Ratchet and Clank. This series gives me so much deja vu. Once you've played one, you've played them all. I think Insomniac is capable of putting forth the effort to change it up a bit which is why I won't say that the series should die unconditionally. However, if they keep putting out shameless lazy rehases, I wouldn't mind seeing the franchise atleast take a huge break.
Well, in the case of Mario, they always change up the formula somewhat and keep things fresh. Super Mario Galaxy is a good example of this.
The spin-offs (like Mario Party)need to die though.

Might as well throw every game console ever made into a pile and set 'em all on fire... :?
