The latest game (Nuts & Bolts) while decent, felt like a gigantic middle finger (to me and many others) after waiting 8 years expecting a REAL sequel to Banjo-Tooie (thats right, I don't even consider Nuts & Bolts a TRUE Banjo-Kazooie game). So if Rare was to continue the Nuts & Bolts route, you shouldn't be surprised to see that people would rather see Banjo-Kazooie die.

Mario games of all sorts except maybe the 3D ones as long as there isn't a 2 slapped onto it (points at Mario Galaxy 2). Halo needs to be given a rest for a little bit, depends on what they do with it though. Basically all generic FPS's need to go into hibernation. Any game where there is a 10 or higher attached to it needs to stop, immediately.

What's wrong with Mario Galaxy 2? It's the sequel to what is generally regarded as the best game of 2007. Just because there hasn't been a direct sequel to a 3D Mario game before doesn't mean it's going to be bad.

the handheld ones have been decreasing in quality as well, it's becoming clear that sonic's formula just isn't cut out for anything more powerfull then the DS

guitar hero is the main one for me it has become really stale, guitar hero 5 just adds new songs along with all the expansions that will appear throughout the year.

You going to finish that post? Sure. We've seen too many of them. I'm hoping Nintendo tries some new hard core franchise rather than sticking with old ones and putting out casual junk. I've enjoyed most of their games, but they should really try their hand at something new... Do any of their games contain voice acting? Their games were fun when I had the attention span of a cow and enjoyed watching a plumber jump over plants and eat mushrooms. Zelda's still fun, but it feels like I'm playing the same game over and over again. 8 dungeons, get a prize at the end of each one and complete them. Motion plus gives me hope of something more unique to come. I'm one of those who tried getting the wii everyday since launch and finally got it a few months later by going 5 hours before the store opened. Maybe I'm spoiled by better graphics. Hmm...Metroid Prime 3 had some voice acting for most characters, alll but Samus, and in the next game in the series unveiled at E3, they have a voice actor for Samus, personally I think it's a pretty bad voice actor, not her voice but how she speaks, but oh well, it's a start.
Either stop making new ones or revamp the gameplay entirely. It's fun the first time you played it a few years back. Now, you have many other games with better enemy AI, a combat system other than pretty much button-mashing and killing hundreds of cannon fodder. Other than that Guitar Hero needs to stop releasing so many games in such a short period of time, can't they just release the songs as dlc? I'm sure they would get less flak for that. And unfortunately, Sonic hasn't been able to move past the 2D generation. Metroid succeeded, so did Mario, if only Sonic can find its proper place.

Are you kidding? Those are like the best games ever. Although I haven't played their recent games, they can't be so bad that they need to die.. =( I think NFS: Underground games and Tony Hawk games need to quit. And the Lego games.

Overdone? Over-rated? No. All three of these series have continually (and consistently) churned out great games. These are three series that need to keep pushing forward, and need to keep on going.
Put Resident Evil out of its misery. The characters are all ridiculous now - how many times is Wesker gonna be the stale bad guy? - and the game lost its soul. Capcom should keep making action games like RE4 and 5, but call them something else AND make another suvival horror series. I'd buy both, but calling these new games "Resident Evil" is no good. Bring back the mansions and teh scary!!!

i'm gonna agree with you on this one. The series needs a reboot. 5 was a rehash of archaic gameplay cliches with a terrible storyline ontop. Without coop, RE5 would have scored a 7 or lower
