Lol Halo "fans" usually flock any new Halo game that comes out.. however I think KZ2 has a good chance of outselling it, if that even matters. If I'm not mistaken, 1.1M copies of KZ2 were preordered in Europe. I don't have a link or any proof but I do recall seeing that somewhere.. dunno if that's entirely accurate or if it has already been mentioned here, but still. That would be a lot just preordered.SoNin360yeah i quoted myself.. apparently it's a big discussion the whole 1.1M thing... so it's not actual customers, or what.. very confused lol.

yes it's true
And there are some encouraging signs for SCEE, which Reeves understandably wants to focus on. While PSP and PS2 software sales have fallen (by 15% and 51% respectively), PS3 games sales are up 53% and there's a healthy 1.1m pre-order book for Killzone 2, the first of a new batch of IPs that Sony will be counting on.

don't mind the lemmings here they are just in denial and want to downplay the inevatable that Killzone 2 will be a hit.
evrything that has a HALO name in will sell and they are all great games except Halo WarsSyferonik
yeah because based on those Metacritic user reviews of 0.8.
[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]I think that some people won't read the back of the box or know that it is a rts game (or even know what an rts is). And?....i keep hearing people saying that there will be many disappointed buyers expecting a FPS....but who cares? Does this effect the quality of the game? If someone buys this game without even at least looking at the pictures on the back of the cover, then they deserve to be disappointed.[QUOTE="one_on_one"]Do people actually believe that people will go to the store, look at the Halo Wars box, look at the back of the box and read the info, buy the game, take it home, put in it in their 360s, and be surprised that it's not a first person shooter?Or for those who say people will be surprised, can any of them elaborate what the surprise would be? :| Maybe it'll be surprisingly good.

I have heard that reason as well as many others. but I don't doubt there are some gamers who are not as informed and have played the demmo to realise it isn't an FPS.
I'm more interested to see the percentage of how many uninformed Halo fans are out there when it comes to the total sales.
I'm willing to bet that it's not that many to offset that it was bought on the actaul merrits that it is a great game.

compared to other 3 Halo games it will score low trust me...demo was so boring i didnt even finished it but i guess its only my opinion.Sorry, dude. It's pre-orders from retailers, not from consumers.
link or it's just speculation

It's not speculation. You know I'm right, but you deny it since it's about Killzone 2.
Gran Turismo 5: Prologue also had 1M pre-orders in Europe alone. But did the retailers actually come close to selling these over 1M copies to consumers in its first week? No.
Same thing with Killzone 2, sorry.
I am going to bump this thread when the sales figures in Europe are released to show how incorrect you are.

Few care about how many copies Sony sells to retailers, which this news is about. Come back and be proud when retailers actually succeed in selling a great deal of copies to consumers, which would make it a hit.
In other words, come back when the game has been released.
