Games everyone hated that you enjoyed?

I'm the complete opposite, because I have such a hard time playing 1 now. I had 2 and 3 since '93 and '94 respectaviley, but I only played 1 every now and then if my cousin rented it. Now that I have the game though, it seems so much worse than I remember. It plays absolutley nothing like the other two which is why I think all the praise it gets is just because of nostalgia.

Yeah, I won't disagree with that. Streets of Rage 2 came with my Genesis, so it was my first exposure to the series. I used to play it with my dad, cousin, and my litte brother all the time so it left the biggest impact on me, and I actually still play it with my brother pretty often. When I got 3, I'll admit I didn't like it that much, but after playing it for so many years, I've now come to really love it. I can nitpick what's worse about it in comparison to 2, but it's still a blast to play, and I'd easily give it a 10/10. If I had owned SoR1 for just as long, I wouldn't be so jaded towards it, but after not playing it for so many years, it's not easy for me not to criticize it. The soundtrack is amazing though, so I will definitely always give it that.

Modnation Racers. Idk why but it gets a lot of hate around here.

Only one I can think of is probably Alpha Protocol. I tend to dislike games that are universally praised more often than like games that are universally shunned.

A lot of people didn't like Alpha Protocol, I think it's a pretty good game.

It is a game I enjoyed so far that people hated. I think this was down to the fact that it operated like a 3rd Persona shooter but used RPG elements to determine how good you were as opposed to just point and shoot.

crash bandicoot the wrath of cortex- this game was reviewed waaaaaay lower then 1-2-3 even though i honestly don't know any way that it's significantly worse, it may have been getting a little stale with such little change but it was still enjoyable

Sonic adventure 2 for GC- still the best 3d sonic game imo and it got like a 6.8 or something here (while the dreamcast version was almost AAA i think)

AlphaProtocol- I bought it on steam for about $5 and ended up loving it. Had the game been given more time in development or some of the ideas been fully developed it could have been an incredible game.

Warhammer Online- I ended up leaving the game because the realms were all too low for PvP to be any fun. That being said some of the early battles I had in this game when it first launched were some of my most exciting moments in gaming. Defending a castle against a horde of other players and getting the satisfication of knowing it mattered on the grandscale was great.

Two Worlds II- Got it super cheap on steam and ended up enjoying it for what is was. Definitely not on the same level as skyrim,but still a well made game in its own right.

Shattered Horizon- I bought this when it first came out and had a lot of fun playing it. The entire idea behind the game was just really unique, but eventually the novelty wore off and people stopped playing.

It does have serious issues, the three big ones being the ending, the awful loading, and the bad minigames.

Final Fantasy XIII.

Halo 2 or Starfox Adventures

Dynasty/Samurai Warrior games. I love these type of games.

Castlevania Legacy of Darkness.

Sure, it has flaws, but i still think it is a great action/adventure game.

Ditto, this game was great, even better if you had someone join you. Except it was quite expensive, that was it's only draw back. But still it was an amazing game with one of the best Soundtracks.
