Halo 3. I realise some people love to hate on it, and i can understand why to some extent, but nobody can argue that that game doesn't give you ridiculous value. An awesome campaign, four-player co-op, four difficulties, all the different skulls and their various effects on the gameplay (including a fifth difficulty), forge, theater mode, screenshots, file shares, custom game types, the infinite number of map and game variants, monthly playlist updates. It lasts forever.

Its a very replayable game. While i'd agree it was lacking content on release - the extra versus campaigns being absent was a huge problem - its much less of an issue after the recent update. Personally I have put loads of hours into it, and feel as though I got great value out of it - however objectivley, it needed more content on release.

Yeah. Some more and longer campaigns would have been nice.

The games I get the best bang for my buck out of are pretty much all Blizzard titles

World of Warcraft.... 3000+ hours

Diablo II lots of high level characters... never got a lvl 99 though.... had a lvl 89 Sorceress, and many other characters in the 80's.... I remember some guy traded me his brothers "OCULUS" and then wanted it back, because his brother was gonna freak out...... so sorry dude! Wonder what happened to him?

and STARCRAFT..... played that game on a daily basis for 4 years.... my buddy and I were DEADLY in 2v2.... ah can't wait for SC2

other games I got a lot out of were....

Final Fantasy X

Starfox 64

Super Mario 1, 2, 3 & Mario World (some of the best games ever made, imo)

Crazy Taxi (Dreamcast)

Soul Calibur (Dreamcast)

Resident Evil 5 (on my 5th playthrough)

Fallout 3 (after my 1st playthrough, I'll probably play through it again and kill everything that looks at me funny)

Halo 2

PLANTS vs ZOMBIES! (OMG SO GOOD)

Defense Grid ($5 on Steam.... love Tower Defense games)

Final Fantasy VII

Warcraft III + Expansion

+many many others, but I gotta go, so I'm not gonna list anymore.

But if time stops, then couldn't we argue that you've spent no time whatsoever?

StarCraft. I've been playing the melee almost every day since it came out over eleven years ago. On top of that, it has the best campaign in an RTS and some of my favorite characters and story. And, on top of that :D, it has some awesome UMS that keep me entertained for hours.

I'm not gonna dig up a bunch of pictures, but the most value I got out of a single game would undoubtably FFVII. I put in over 1000 hours on that game. Also Fallout 3, MGS 4, and Valkyria Chronicles for this gen.

Recently it was Oblivion, The Orange Box, Uncharted and Fallout 3. Oblivion and Fallout 3 because they were pretty lenghty, The Orange Box is five games in one, nuff said, and Uncharted because it's the game i've beaten more times and never got tired of it. Oh, almost forgot MGS4. Epic single player and contrary to what many think here, MGO was lots of fun and kept me busy for a good while. Also (and how could i forget) SF4! I'm nearing 200 hours on it.

The orange box. hard to beat so many great games for one low price.

And if you're into them, MMORPGs. those of us who love them can pretty much just play them and thus not need to buy many other games.
