Bioshock and Burnout Paradise.

Bioshock because well, IMO, the only fun part about the game was fighting a Big Daddy. Other than that, it felt like a chore to complete.

And Burnout Paradise because it took all of the brilliantly designed races and events and made them open world. Sounds good, right? Turns out, simply making them open world actually takes away from the good design of the game. Those perfectly tuned missions that had me on edge before were replaced with "find your own route!!" Well, finding your own route isn't very fun in a boring and poorly layed out city.

After the initial controlling Darth Vader mission, it went down hill. As soon as I pulled an entire battleship, LIGHTYEARS away towards me using the force, I facepalmed, ejected the DVD, and placed it back on my shelve never to be touched again. Even Yoda struggles to lift an X-Wing using the force. :|

Then I decided to try out the single player, and beat it in 3 hours and 15 minutes, and found not a single thing about it good.

I've never wasted money on a worse product.

fallout 3, little kings story, valkyria chronicles, call of duty 3, medieval 2 total war... just off the top of my head.

just to be clear, all awesome games, but something just turned me off from them... except cod 3, dissapointing boring POS.

Well, being the PC gamer I am, and him living 3000 miles away, it was really my only option.

Otherwise I would have just borrowed it from a friend who owns it on 360. It certainly would have helped ease the pain had I not paid a even a nickel for it :cry:

i agree about regretting it, but truth be told, i found its gameplay not too bad... i mean, it felt as generic as call of duty. At least the singleplayer. (the thing is COD is well polished while this game is not.

i think the problem with this game is that its so much like your average shooter that i just couldnt stand out. Plus, its bland scenery and its average multiplayer. I can see a sequel being decent. i mean, all the right pieces are there. A decent engine for the wii, customizable controls, potential with a chat system, actually has multiplayer online. its no shovelware. its just not very good. On paper, it sounds like what the wii needs, its just that the hype and execution by a not so experienced developer who put too much confidence in themselves despite having no experience outside of shovelware attempted it rather than a big name. ( I MEAN, LOOK AT HOW RED STEEL TURNED OUT. ITS sequel is actually pretty good).

super mario galaxy was terrible imo, i couldnt get past the home base part. it wasreally boring. this is coming from a guy who almost beat enchanted arms, which is like the most boring game ever.

De Blob and Boom Blox full price. I came back to the store a week later and found them for 30$.

Assassin's Creed - I had really high hopes and was disappointed by how repetitive it got.

The Orange Box - I really wanted to like Half-Life 2, and just didn't.Maybe I expected too much,but everyone talks about it like it's the "greatest shooter ever" and I just didn't see it.Barely anyone was on Team Fortress so I didn't enjoy that. I did however like Portal, but that hardly justifies the $60 I paid when it came out.

Killzone 2. Ironically I loved the first one. My brother and I may have put 1000+ hours playing against hardcore bots. Killzone 2 had horrible online multiplayer. I also didn't care much for the single player. Also, before anyone hits me with the "teh controls where t00 hard for yew" or "you just weren't good at it" I was great at the game. It was just that the lack of a party system in the MP killed it for me.

If I have to mention a game, from this gen specifically, it has to be RE5 Gold Edition... damn, I swear that I haven't got the motivation to keep going and check the 2nd (DLC)extracontent :(
