For me it was the GTAIV DLC: The Ballad of Gay Tony. Some say it was the best part of GTAIV, but I couldn't stand what I played of it. After playing through GTAIV and Lost & Damned I just was so sick of the same old formula.

The main character Luise was just terrible even by GTA character standards and had no qualities about him at all. He never smiled, never joked around, said "yo" way too much, thought he was so much cooler than every body else but with no justification. Just so absolutely unlikable from every angle. I could only play about ten missions and then just couldn't tolerate the game for one minute more.

What game made you just say "enough!", before pulling it out of your game system and never letting it back in again?

KOTOR. Everyone claimed this was Biowares greatest RPG. I bought it, loaded it up and its dull, the characters are stiff, combat surprisingly is overly simple and boring, the RPG mechanics are lackluster, it's just an overall meh game.

Mafia 2. A combination of things I like. Mobster story(love Sopranos, Good Fellas Godfather), a third person cover shooter, open world/sandbox game, sequel to a game I liked last gen. Nothing about this game has been worth my damn effort. The main character is just so uninteresting, and ends up being completely unlikeable by the end of the game. The cover system like EVERY GOD DAMN OPEN WORLD GAME THIS GEN just sucks(looking at you RDR/GTA4) when compared to the linear cover shooters(uncharted/gears). The gun play on consoles is utterly pathetic, and overall just lacks any real punch.

The level design is pitiful, with the few action set pieces it throws at you being mind numbing corridor shoot outs with only a handful being elaborate enough to be fun. Countless mundane tasks that are just tedious in an already short game(10 hours, and in that 10 hours you'll do some of the most boring crap possible). A hub world that is utterly pointless(outside of "IMMERSING YOU IN THIS WORLD"), an excessive reliance on driving. I feel like I'm probably missing something else I hate about it? Eh either way the game bored me beyond words. I even lowered my expectations after the demo, and it still put me to sleep.

other note worthy ones

-Darksiders= A zelda clone that tries to have some decent combat? sounds good...on paper. I got bored by the 2nd dungeon

-Splinter Cell Conviction= Take splinter cell's brilliant stealth mechanics(it takes a dump on anything not named Thief as far as stealth games go), and add in some improved action elements adding to the flexibility of the missions? Sign me up. Oh wait it's too action oriented, stripped, dumb down, aggressively linear, and butchers everything I love about Splinter Cell. **** You Ubisoft

-No More Heroes= A hack n slash. A game from the dude that did Killer 7(freakin awesome), a game that doesn't take itself seriously. HOw could I possibly hate something this awesome? Oh that's right by having painfully shallow combat, a stupid sandbox mechanic, and some dull and uninspired boss fights that were only good for how "wacky" they were. What a piece of crap.

-Final Fantasy XIII= I tried to make it to the part where the game opens up and got out of its tutorial phase. I just gave up after 20 hours. I'm sorry but someone needs to teach Square Enix something about pacing. That first 20 hours is just dreadfully over doing it.

Metroid Prime Hunters single player. I was so hyped for the game, got it when it released, played a few hours, then got completely tired of it. The multiplayer wasn't that great either (Touch screen just isn't my thing for FPS control).

GTAIV. It's only a sandbox game if you stay away from the missions.

Assassin's creed. The DNA memory garbage got on my nerves and I had other games to play at the time.

Cross Edge and Assassin's Creed. With AC I thought I'd be getting Hitman in a different time period...I didn't. Instead I got a repetitive, boring mess - so I dropped it. Cross Edge just sucks, I have nothing positive to say about the game.

Potential games to add to the list:

The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - Whoever was sitting in the planning room and said "Hey let's add a train!" NEEDS TO BE FIRED. I know, somewhere in that cartridge, there's a good Zelda game, but the goddamn train is making it impossible to enjoy it. I'll probably still finish it - it is Zelda - but nonetheless things aren't looking good for it.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days - Another game from a franchise I adore that's been a chore to play. Repetitive gameplay with a sloooooooowly moving plot. I've played 10? 15? hours and so far in the story, I met a girl. I haven't gone back in months, and I'm not sure if I will.

Slashkice

Lol I agree about Cross Edge and Spirit Tracks. Cross Edge was just terrible from the start, the battle formation, the s-tyle, the voice acting, bleh. And I usually have a high tolerance for oddball JRPGs too. :P

Spirit Tracks was just ridiculously boring. Having to ride the tracks around in a certain direction just made it even worse. Riding around looking for certain characters standing beside the tracks was just terrible too.

BioShock 2.

I wasn't that excited about the game, but I picked it up anyways since I loved the first one and found it at a reasonable price on Amazon.

Unfortunately, the game was too much of the same damn thing as the original game... I stopped playing after the third level. I might finish it one day.

Sadly for me that game is Dragon Age. It is not so much the gameplay,a s that is top notch but the actual setting. No matter how hard a try I just can not get into the whole "fantasy" setting. However I do love me so good Sci-Fi.

Final Fantasy XIII, I got to chapter 11 and just gave up. I found the game to be a chore to play. I didn't care for the characters (except Sazhs), the story and most of the gameplay. FFXIII is the only FF title I've played and didn't finish.

FF13, I have fun playing it but it's just too much of a hassle to get back into it. Fallout 3, I REALLY enjoyed it for the first 5 hours or so, and then lost complete interest. New Vegas will probably hold me over for the entire game. :D Dragon Age, game starts out great, I like how the story plays it, combat's fun, but after meeting that Elf Assassin of a partner (Who's really cool) I just lost interest. I blame my imaginary ADD and not the games.

inFamous: I love superhero and comic book type TV shows, movies, games, etc. I thought for sure this game would keep me occupied for a long time. Unfortunately, I played about 15 hours or so, and couldn't take the repetition anymore.

Borderlands: Shoot and Loot! Not so much fun in this game. The gun generator is about pathetic. I end up selling most of them (that are so similar, and handle the same, that I can barely call them 'different'). I may give it another shot, but I doubt it.

Hmm... so many.

Super Mario Sunshine (without the nostalgia from SM64, this game didn't impress me in the slightest)
Super Mario Galaxy (same situation as SMS, 3D platformers have never been my thing)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (artstyIe made my eyes bleed, the game was good, but I couldn't get past the visuals)
The Darkness (it was a game by the same people who made TCoR:EFBB, but the game just wasn't up my alley)
Dead Space (predictability, monotony and downright Doom 3 plagiarism ruined the experience for me)
Castle Crashers (great concept, but it was lost on me)
Grand Theft Auto IV (it was nothing like the previous games I loved so much)
Metroid Prime: Hunters (very well made game, but an absolutely disgusting "Metroid")
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (I was a huge fan of the originals on PC, but I couldn't just get past how simplified the game had become)
DRIV3R (huge fan of originals on PS... but the game was just utter crap)
Left 4 Dead (I even preordered it... but was really struck by how much I disliked it... great game, just not my cup of tea)
Syphon Filter: Omega Strain (loved all the originals on PS, but somehow, despite the better gameplay, the level design just wasn't as good)
Front Mission 4 (I played the PS demo of FM3 to death... but just couldn't push myself to finish)
Persona 3: FES (great game, loved it, but just couldn't get over the incessant grinding, it made me almost hate it after 70 hours)

Killzone 2 (took me a week to beat the first mission because I kept getting bored. Still have yet to play it. It's not worth my time).

Bioshock (I blame myself. I wait too long between days and forget how to play the game) :P

Assassins Creed 2. Everyone was saying its better than the 1st and it does fix problems that were in the 1st game, but something felt missing. It didn't feel mysterious and exciting as the 1st game felt to me. I played it a lot but never actually beat it.

Bioshock - I already know the whole story of the game, so I'm not motivated in any way to play it.

Gothic 3 - Dull, uninteresting, boring, etc.

Max Payne - The dream sequences are some of the worst moments in gaming I've ever seen. Waking up in a chair with no weapons other than a baseball bat is what made me give up on the game.

Indigo Prophecy - Keyboard and mouse controls are so terrible I couldn't play it. I'll get around to it if I ever get a game pad for my PC.

Lots and lots of games. The sad part is I don't even have a legitimate reason for not finishing a lot of them, I just end up dropping them sometimes for other games. The good news is I don't do this as much anymore.

Dead Rising easily. I'm a huge zombie fan and thought this would have been the perfect game for me. Picked it up and couldn't have been more disappointed with the final product. The controls were terrible, the storyline was sub par, the gameplay mechanics were awful, and just nothing about the game drew me in. I hated the save system, the time limits were horrible, and I hated how a bag of chips took up the same inventory space as a sledge hammer. Then that same sledge hammer would kill 6 zombies and break becoming utterly useless to me. I have no hope for Dead Rising 2 since Capcom did so little to improve Lost Planet 2.

I did the exact same thing. I really thought I was going to like White Knight Chronicles, but I just can't get into it. That and FFXIII, depending on where I am in the game. I loved the first few hours where you got to meet the characters and stuff, but after Bartandilus (did i spell that right?) I totally lost interest.

Bioshock

Borderlands

STALKER

Darksiders

Demon Souls

The Witcher

Chrono Trigger -- Got pretty far, it just got old because I've played way too many TBS games

that DS Pokemon game... not soulsilver/heartgold the other one, lol -- I got to the first town and was bored to death.

Twilight Princess

of course, I'm eventually going to try a few again (witcher, twilight princess, stalker, demon souls) but im pretty sick of those other games

The Witcher and STALKER were both games that I love but got frustrated on and had to put down for a while.
