Games Your Friends Give You A Hard Time For Playing???

I personally don't really have any friends that would make fun of me for games. The worst I got was when I played Naruto Broken Bonds and I had 1 friend comment "You really like that stuff" to which I told him the manga was awesome and that was it. mythrol

My friend makes fun of the Sonic games I have. It's pretty understandable though since 99% of the gaming population hates Sonic games. And he also made fun of Clash of Ninja Revolution but then I actually taught him how to play and he likes it. Not as much as Guilty Gear though lol.

My sister and my friend gave me a hard time for playing Okami. They said it looked horrible? That the graphics were worse than the 64. Then both my Sisters gave me a hard time for playing Galaxy, they said it is for little kids, and i should be playing older games...The last game that i was given a hard time for was De Blob.

None, actually. me and my friends have basically the same gaming tastes and play pretty much anything

my 9 year old girl cousin just rented hannah montana on the wii. well that night me and her brother beat it...

lol, i get it alot because i tend to find something i like in almost every "bad" game i play, the combat in Viking, the cinematics in watchmen, the goofy yet kinda neat storyline in the new Terminator game

i swear those guys are not happy unless they are ripping on games thay haven't finished (or played).

I know how you feel, people are so ignorant sometimes.

Every singe time I play games like Persona or JRPGs, or RPGs at all, I play them alone. I don't like the fact that I'm constantly berated with "Thats so gay or "That looks boring", or "Aren't you joining the military? Aren't you a grown man? Play a real man's game and not this kid's crap!"

Since the family my age that I hang out with likes to think they're smarter, more experienced, and more worldly knowledgeable than I am, I tend to follow my hobbies with some level of secrecy because I'm so sick of the bull****.

Same situation here. This is coming from people who can't play Mass Effect of Fallout 3 without either calling them gay boring, too long, or too complicated.

most of my gaming friends all really like the really really - and i mean REALLY - Japanese niche games.

I'm talking Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

If it is not Gundam, Fighting-game, Anime, Japanese based game. then it must therefore be LAME.

I'm not that big of a fighting genre fan. and i tend to like real time adventure/RPG games as opposed to turn based.

I do not mind Turn based RTS/RPG's on handhelds though - as they seem the most manageable on a handheld.

Little Big Planet, Resistance 1 and 2 are deemed too 'shallow' to most of my gaming friends...

Sure, they sale well, but don't tell someone whos put over 200 hours into each of those games that they are casual games.

Oh, they barely play it. They barely have 200 hours put into it between the 3 of them. I barely play CoD4 anymore and I can still embarrass them. They are the epitome os casual gamers, except they think they're really good

Well that doesn't happen often.. One of my friends is a retro console gamer, who spends most of his time bashing the crap out of current gen. He's still slightly a PC gamer too, and tolerates whatever I play unless it's a Xbox port :P My other friend is into FPS's and turn-based strategy. We often play Quake, Battlefield, Civilization, Master of Orion etc. He doesn't usually give me hard time for playing anything. My third friend is a HARDCORE Cow. Bought all Playstation's at launch. He's mostly into sports, wrestling and racing games, he does play Football Manager on PC though. Often he's hyping the hell out of PS3 and wonders why I'm a PC gamer. Other than that, it's all great fun.
