Damage Control 101 at it's finest. LMAO!! You have been owned so bad it isn't even funny. Crawl back under your rock with your fellow Cows. MOVE was obviously a complete failure. If not, Sony would still be talking about it today. Even 3D on the PS3 was a failure. Sony doesn't talk about that anymore either, even though they were pushing it to dead a few years after the PS3 launched. Lol @ you for touting motion controls. Guys like you are the reason Kinect is included with the X1, good job fanboy. The last recorded number for move was 15 mil back in 2012. Don't know what it is now, don't care. My point was that Move isn't a failure like Blackace made it out to be. MS had a 500m ad budget for Kinect and didn't blow Move out of the water which barely was pushed by Sony.
StrongBlackVine
I don't like Move or Kinect, but you are a douchebag. Maybe try getting laid because you seem very high strung right now.

Over 15 million Move controllers. That was almost a year ago.
Heeeeeeeelloooooooo?
Nothing?
Meh, it was just the usual speculation in a pro-Sony way. Not outright wrong, but definitely not set in stone.

He didnt speculate on anything though, or prounced anything as definite.
That entire video was about his opinions on the state of microsoft itself, the only facts or things he presented as facts were in fact, facts. Like the goof ups and 180s MS done.
He didnt praise sony or elevate them at all, he just spoke about them as the general consensus also speaks about them. He certainly did suck their dicks or anything.
Sounds more like someone was unhappy about MS getting called out for doing things that they did, so of course "its pro sony" simply because he didnt talk negatively about them and didnt speak praises of MS.

shocker! is anyone actually suprise? xbone is unpopular right now they might sell a few thousand at launch but thats about it. The delay of their xbone is going to hurt M$. I feel that people who suffer through the red lights of death will think twice about buying it too..M$ is a snake and is evil..what they tried to pulled off with the xbone hurt their image badly..
I'm 100% American and I think Xbone is shit.

According to some appologists on SW, MS isn't backtracking, theyre just going back to their old ways
How does it feel to know even GS has now reported what "cows" whom you all hate so much say all day?

and I'm sorry to say, since I know a lot of you fangirls will get your knickers in a bunch when I say this. But it's about time it got said.
Sony bet on YOU. You, the person reading this right now. You, the core gamer. The one that built this industry. Nintendo cultivated a new audience and MS ran so hard towards it that you've been standing in a cloud of dust since 2009 if you are still defending MSes XBox brand. If MS had just kept to their mantra when they launched the 360, I'd be a supporter of it. It's not the same MS, though. J Allard is long gone. Seamus Blackley is outtie.
Whatever paint chips and glue you have been eating, just stop. Think about who you are and what it is you actually like to do. The brand doesn't matter. The brand comes and goes, just like Atari, Sega, TurboGrafx, 3DO, CD-i etc etc. Start to think like a gamer and support who actually holds your best interests. After all, that's what this video is really all about. Sony got it right from Day 1 with the PS4 and ALL MS can possibly do at this point is apologize to you and try all they can to change the course they are on. MTV and PizzaHut app say "hi."

They're probably never gonna get it back, so it's pretty stupid to try and get their respect again. X1 is still the laughing stock of the internet and it probably will remain that way until Microsoft does full circle all around, and even then it's possible they may change it back once the console is out since they have full control over the matter, something that definitely will stay in the minds of lots of people and has permanently made them lose people already.
Trying to sell something that is, you know, less of a f*cking shameful rip off, that's what's important.
I don't really care for the video or the matter all that much, I won't be getting an X1.

With all due respect, I don't think that is it whatsoever. If the Lems on this board are anything to go by (Except the XBoUnitys and KarateeChops who will pretty much rubber stamp Bill Gates running over a baby with a Hummer calling that GOTY), they are holding on to this course-reversal and touting what few exclusives the XBone has.. and not buying into a little to a lot of the rhetoric about the consoles being evenly matched. I actually sympathize with them. We can argue over what degree it was done to a large extent, but they are in the same boat that Playstation fans were in when the PS3 launched. Kuturagi and Sony in general (albeit to a lesser extent since they canned his ass) were just really out of touch with the gamers and game designers in 2005/2006 leading up to the launch of the Triple. Fast Forward to today, and Microsoft seems to have been razzle-dazzled by Wii sales from last gen and Kinect tie-ins as well as a bunch of marketing properllerheads who saw Netflix usage on their console statistics.. CLEARLY showing the bean-counters and suits were running the XBox brand, they made the XBone tailored around what they THOUGHT you wanted. They were wrong. And I give Lems a damn hard time for supporting the BS, but you are also wrong in assuming they all actually want the XBone. Very few do. They want a PS4, but the fact it says Sony or Playstation on the box just scrambles their brains for whatever reasons it may.[QUOTE="Pray_to_me"]

At least I have the balls to admit my preference unlike you making a joke of yourself writing Xbot drivel while still calling myself a manticore. I suggest you stop before I own you again. You do know that Sony was not the target of their plan right? It was Amazon, Google, Apple and and to a lesser extent Steam. Xbox One was built to battle these companies for the living room and not Sony. MS is thinking about the future and the battles ahead, Sony isn't really a concern for MS.

Sony is definitely a concern and all the backtracking proves it. If PS4 is destroying Xflop then Microsoft has no access to those living rooms. Microsoft was just stupid and arrogant and now they are paying for it. Microsoft has NEVER had successful hardware until the 360 and they obviously couldn't handle that little bit of success.

MS was thinking from a point of view that everyone is connected, you have smart phones, social media, etc. Everyone is connected or wants to be connected. MS thought lets make a console that always connected, that did not go over well. Now DRM has necessary for their digital plan, this should not have been a big deal. However people freaked out about physical disk. This I think was the biggest obstacle for people to overcome. Personally, I think disk based games are waste of plastic.Kinectic got a bad wrap due to bad timing (NSA) and also because it made the Xbox One $100 more than the PS4.
Bottom line is MS wasn't trying to be draconian, they were trying to give you what you most likely would want and expect of a "console" 10 years from now, but give it to you a decade early. Gamers were not ready for this model and MS re-evaluating their polices and are doing their best to tailor their product to the current mindset.

And of course any company would tailor their product to make it more appealing. Xbox One is a game console, includes voice and gesture control camera, allows you to Skype to any device, includes a decent headset, an update to one of the best controllers ever and for those who care, an HDMI pass through and OS that if works as intended, will allow for some cool functionality with your media. Xbox One is really a great value.

Yet remember when Sony was spinning the PS3 as being "Great Value"? But they are either competing against Sony or they are not competing against Sony. To try and compete against Apple, an Xbox One is not the way to do it. The customers Apple has dont give a rats ass about 1080p, 60fps, 100 million dollar gaming controllers, COD, etc, etc, etc. Apples userbase is happy enough playing Candy Crush. This consumer doesn't want a $500 gaming top box that does other things. And they need to get their mobile platform off the ground before they can do anything.according to his logic, the current gen's console war was already over when the 360 launched before the PS3.. he seems to think pre-orders and early console sales are somehow going to predict the outcome of this entire generation.. as we can see, over the course of 5~7 years, things can change.. just like the earlier launch and lower price of the 360 gave it a ton of momentum over the PS3, over time, price drops and good games eventually leveled the playing field.. in the same sense, the PS4 has a ton of momentum over the Xbox One due to bad PR and a lower price.. and again, price drops and good games can eventually even out the playing field.. only time will tell.. Microsoft dropped the ball in the later years of the 360 by going too far with casual games for their add-on (Kinect) instead of pumping out AA exclusives like Sony was doing.. It seems that Microsoft may have realized that and that's why we are seeing alot more effort to get exclusive games and DLC deals this time..
also, in his attempt to pander to us (the hardcore audience) he forgets that the "softcore" and "casual" make up the vast majority of consumers while the "hardcore" (i.e. the people on this website and the people who watches his videos) make up a much smaller percentage.. that being said, in the end, the Xbox One has the potential to be bigger commercial success if it can actually capture those markets that he eluded too.. for example, capturing casual players with the lure of Kinect motion games (all early impressions are saying that Kinect 2.0 is finally what the 360 Kinect should have been) and capturing softcore players with exclusive DLC to the games they love like Call of Duty.. now if you want to talk about quality gaming for the hardcore, thats a different discussion.. but this guy wasnt talking about that, he was talking about sales.. so in terms of sales, according to his logic, in the long-term the Xbox One has the advantage becasue Micorsoft is catering to the larger audiences with TV, Kinect, and early DLC for Call of Duty..
i'm certianly not saying that Micorsoft's strategy isnt flawed, but clearly there are plenty of casual players that enjoyed the original Kinect, plenty of softcore players that played tons of Call of Duty and Halo on XBL, and plenty of hardcore players who are selling out preorders for the Xbox One.. i think its a bit early to declare a winner..

This consumer doesn't want a $500 gaming top box that does other things. And they need to get their mobile platform off the ground before they can do anything.if Apple makes a $500 high-end conosle that plays all the latest games (Battlefield, CoD, Madden, etc), which console do you think your average iNerd is going to buy to compliment his iPhone, iPad, and iMac?.. you think he's going to buy a PS4 or an Xbox One??.. absolutely not.. he's going to buy the Apple iConsole (or whatever it's going to be called) simply because he has already bought into and loves the Apple ecosystem.. if and probably when Apple finally joins the console wars, everybody else is going to be in trouble.. the only difference is that Microsoft is going to be in a much better position to do battle with the Apple ecosystem with their own ecosystem of cross-platform devices (Windows 8 PC, Windows RT tablet, Windows Phone 8, and Xbox One running Windows 8 architecture) while Sony or Nintendo won't.. basically, if and when Apple and Google join the "console wars" its going to change to the "ecosystem wars".. Microsoft is positioning the Xbox One as the centerpiece to their ecosystem in order to combat those future threats.. Sony is just a short term problem that they didnt want to get too far out of control with all the bad PR..
Microsoft is more concerned about their future competiton with Apple and/or Google in the living room than they are worried about Sony or Nintendo
EDIT: and yes, the PS3 with a built-in Blu-ray player is a "great value" now that you can go out an pick one up for roughly the same price as an Xbox 360.. the same thing will be the case when you can eventually get an Xbox One packed with a Kinect 2.0 for the same price as a PS4.. people are very short sighted if they think this price difference is going to be a lasting issue.. this price difference is only an issue for early adopters and the hardcore audience.. by the time your casual players are trading in their PS3s or 360s in mass numbers, both these consoles will be in the $299 or $349 range..
