if Microsoft is going to pull 180s on bad decisions, lets do it before launch.. let's not do it like Sony and launch a console without rumble only to add rumble controllers back into the mix years after release, forcing people to buy new controllers if they want that feature.. or worse yet, realize that you designed your console in a way that cross-game voice chat isnt possibe but you spend years telling your consumers that "cross game voice chat is still coming" when it isnt..

I'm loving all the comments in the thread how the Move failed. I'm so glad it did. The last thing I need on the Playstation is Move to get forced onto gamers, like the Kinect was, and the Kinect wasn't even that big of a success.

I pretty much agree with the video. The X1 basically has turned into a PS4 at this point (a weaker and more expensive PS4).

Sony already won. Lemmings have been owned. Microsoft won't be Sony in gaming and won't be Apple/Google in anything. May as well stick to Windows and other boring software. Microsoft will never be hip or cool.

MS is gonna have a hard time at the $500 pricepoint. You can get a PS4 with PSEye for around that or less, so what makes it more appealing to your average consumer? Seems like a lot is riding on TitanFall and whatever Kinect pack-in they might have in the works.

i wish id find in myself some form of respect and credibility for gamespot to watch it, but i can't.

Sony bet on YOU.  You, the person reading this right now.  You, the core gamer.  The one that built this industry.  Nintendo cultivated a new audience and MS ran so hard towards it that you've been standing in a cloud of dust since 2009 if you are still defending MSes XBox brand.  If MS had just kept to their mantra when they launched the 360, I'd be a supporter of it.  It's not the same MS, though.  J Allard is long gone.  Seamus Blackley is outtie.

 

Whatever paint chips and glue you have been eating, just stop.  Think about who you are and what it is you actually like to do.  The brand doesn't matter.  The brand comes and goes, just like Atari, Sega, TurboGrafx, 3DO, CD-i etc etc.  Start to think like a gamer and support who actually holds your best interests.  After all, that's what this video is really all about.  Sony got it right from Day 1 with the PS4 and ALL MS can possibly do at this point is apologize to you and try all they can to change the course they are on.  MTV and PizzaHut app say "hi."

It's rather obvious "as of now", Microsoft is losing and playing catch-up in pre-sales & PR.

The only people that won't state it are either 

A:Being politically correrct("The WiiU could still come back & win the gen")

B:Lems

Things can change, but Sony has a better price, specs, and PR going into launch.

Microsoft had potentially, the most desasterious E3 in it's history with radioactive fallout that was even known by the casual consumers.

Can they fix it, yes. But it's an uphill fight.

You do know that Sony was not the target of their plan right? It was Amazon, Google, Apple and and to a lesser extent Steam. Xbox One was built to battle these companies for the living room and not Sony. MS is thinking about the future and the battles ahead, Sony isn't really a concern for MS.

The simple fact that MS did a 180 on all the horrible policies it has and that is now basically trying to mimic the PS4 kill your argument,if it wasn't for sony MS now would still carry all those policies,in fact if sony on E3 confirmed policies that were inline with MS ones,now on this very moment the xbox one would still carry those policies.

Pre-orders are speaking and MS is hearing how the xbox one is greatly been out done by the PS4 they know it,i would not be surprise to see a Kinect less xbox one on launch or soon after for $399,that last confirmation that Kinect doesn't need to be plug in is the sures bet any one can have.

That price gap + power gap + Sony more friendly aproach and less restrictive console is damaging the xbox brand badly,to the point where i think they may never get the xbox one off the ground.

Many people dismissed the Core 360 but it was actually one of the biggest weapons against the PS3,on launch alone it was from $200 to $300 cheaper,now there is non and the xbox one is more expensive that will hurt.

Oh and if MS wanted to compete with google and amazon they could release a separate product to compete,they don't have to risk the xbox brand doing so.

if Apple makes a $500 high-end conosle that plays all the latest games (Battlefield, CoD, Madden, etc), which console do you think your average iNerd is going to buy to compliment his iPhone, iPad, and iMac?.. you think he's going to buy a PS4 or an Xbox One??.. absolutely not.. he's going to buy the Apple iConsole (or whatever it's going to be called) simply because he has already bought into and loves the Apple ecosystem.. if and probably when Apple finally joins the console wars, everybody else is going to be in trouble.. the only difference is that Microsoft is going to be in a much better position to do battle with the Apple ecosystem with their own ecosystem of cross-platform devices (Windows 8 PC, Windows RT tablet, Windows Phone 8, and Xbox One running Windows 8 architecture) while Sony or Nintendo won't.. basically, if and when Apple and Google join the "console wars" its going to change to the "ecosystem wars".. Microsoft is positioning the Xbox One as the centerpiece to their ecosystem in order to combat those future threats.. Sony is just a short term problem that they didnt want to get too far out of control with all the bad PR..

Microsoft is more concerned about their future competiton with Apple and/or Google in the living room than they are worried about Sony or Nintendo

EDIT: and yes, the PS3 with a built-in Blu-ray player is a "great value" now that you can go out an pick one up for roughly the same price as an Xbox 360.. the same thing will be the case when you can eventually get an Xbox One packed with a Kinect 2.0 for the same price as a PS4.. people are very short sighted if they think this price difference is going to be a lasting issue.. this price difference is only an issue for early adopters and the hardcore audience.. by the time your casual players are trading in their PS3s or 360s in mass numbers, both these consoles will be in the $299 or $349 range..
