[QUOTE="cobragt4"]gt5p looks too realistic for its own good
Rikusaki
Whoa that umm... that actually looks good.
Impossible! PGR4 is supposed to look better!
Someone please post PGR4 and Fable 2 screens that look better than this!
Somebody! Anybody!
Hurry! I can't look at these any more!
It's just... too... real....
 If that looks real to you, you need to get your eyes checked.
[QUOTE="saolin323"][QUOTE="M3tro1d"]I agree that PGR4 looks better, it's a amazing looking game, best graphics in a racer ever. Plus the motorbikes kick ass.
Best racer this generation. But Mario Kart Wii might be mroe fun :)
Rikusaki
Indeed, PGR4 looks KILLER !!!!
*PGR 4 Pictures*
Offscreen + Photomode FTL.
And yet all the replay shots we've seen for GT5 Prologue are acceptable?
Double standards?

difference is replays dont enhance the picture quality as i have explained earlier in the thread. theres no difference in pgr4's photomode and gameplay imo, maybe a few lighting tweaks or some help with aa but nothing dramatic. its all in the same game engine so i dont care if anyone uses pgr4 photomode pics to argue their point

Lemmings really are grasping at straws. GT5 looks far better than anything on the 360 and it always will
the_h_bomb
It amuses me.

On the same token, I don't have a problem with people using GT5: Prologue replay shots either. What I do have a problem with is hypocrisy, which is exactly what the poster I quoted exhibited. If GT5: Prologue replay shots can be used in arguments, then so can PGR 4 photomode pics.

wow, those look as good as GT5! i didn't realize it was that good!
You are being mislead.
just like cows with the GT5p bullshots eh, it's getting silly.
well so everyone can be happy, how about a pgr4 replay shot vs a gt5p replay shot? like i said, it dont matter, photomode on both game dont make a real difference beacause its all on the same engine, polys arent added and there's no extra detail added. replays for both games arent no different from gameplay either and i wish people would understand that. in gt5p yes blur is used but thats it, theres no aa enhanced or anything like thatcobragt4
ugh. i have to clarify one thing here that many consolites seem to be confused about.
photo-mode, or replay mode DOES add extra detail and clarity. both modes add post-processing which applies FSAA and FSAF, blur, etc, things that CAN improve the detail of the source texture (especially AA and AF, these are TEXTURE FILTERING protocols, i.e. methods of improving the fidelity and detail of the source image).
so - to sum up. gameplay, in these games, does not use these filters / enhancements. it presents the images / art as the engine dictates (often cheating and cutting corners for a balance of look and performance). photo-mode and replay modes add on the detail enhancements that are lacking during gampley due to framerate concerns.
to make it really simple - replay mode and photo mode DO improve the fidelity, clarity, and detail of the artists original work.
/rant.
now let's comparethe ULTIMATE next gen grapphcis in Fable 2 to GT5 that is CONFIRMED to look like GT4 more than anything !!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAsaolin323Confirmed to look like GT4?

look, all of that talk looks convincing but that's all it is is talk. I go by my eyes and my eyes tell me you're wrong, very, you might be right about photomode but not the replays
example for the 100th time for people who dont know gameplay looks the same as the replays, but replays do use blur and nothing else
replay
gameplay
see all that talk of yours was just talk and doesnt apply to gt5p
