Its about what they believe is more profitable. We'll see what happens though, Halo Wars doesn't seem like its going to be that good, as an Ensemble fan the review disappointed me greatly.TiefsterDon't let gamespot be your one and only authority on what makes a good game. :|
Halo Wars will sell way more copies than KZ2, so, it's a smart business decision.Andrew_Xavier
I seriously doubt it killzone 2 has way more pre-orders and when kids find out halo wars is not a shooter by either word of mouth or the demo they won't buy it and the reviews also dampen halo wars.

You are the best judge for yourself, after all.
that gamestop for you, I stopped shopping there a while agoGTR_FX
me too the employees play new games then seal it and sell it as new that happened to me when I tried to buy Little Big Planet they tried to give me the display box with a used game and sell it as new to me, I took my business elsewhere and bought it at a regular store sealed and everything I will never buy from gamestop again.

I think people are over estimating halo wars sales potential.user_natThe name Halo on it is good enough for a sizable sales base. I mean, through books, graphic novels, action figures, pop flavors, posters, clothing, etc, there are many things out there that shows the Halo name is a draw.

Um, the reviews which are in the 80s on metacritic? :|Honestly, who cares? It's their business decision, and whether it's good or not, does it really affect you guys? You can't wait 10 hours for Killzone?tmatte^This, please stop complaining, most people are at work/school on Friday so getting the game at midnight doesn't make much of a difference at all.

I hang out with the guys at my gamestop they gave me a lowdown, They can only signed out used games and are able to play them for 7 days. when they usually sell a new game opened it's because it was the demo they used for the systemthat gamestop for you, I stopped shopping there a while agoGTR_FX

I don't. But I'd never go buy a video game at midnight.I've been known to like a videogame or two, but midnight launches are pushing it as far as I'm concerned..

I guess they can't divulge everything to a good customer. I mean the guys at my store are really cool and they realize that gamestop really rips people off. They work their for their love of games and for need of money. AND I can pretty much get any new release the day it comes out with no trouble. I remember when MGS 4 came out and I was able to get it several hours before the midnight launch. I walked past Best Buy laughing my ass off at the people on line.

Doubt it. Halo Wars is being released in hopes that all the Halo fans will gobble it up and embrace its shift from FPS to a RTS game.
While diehard fans will probably pick it up, the less dedicated might be turned away by the simple fact that it will more than likely lack the depth of a RTS game avilable on PC.
I can see it selling well, but lining up at midnight to get it sounds a little extreme for this one.
I think people are over estimating halo wars sales potential.user_natI think people are overestimating Killzone 2's sales potential, especially Tek.
Dang, if I was a GameStop manager I'd have BOTH games as midnight releases. On the same night.
I'd set up a HW line and a KZ2 line about a meter apart (roughly throwing punch distance), set up some cameras (to capture it for Youtube) then sit back with some popcorn and wait for the inevitable fanboy fireworks.

Hate Halo. Yet i'm getting Halo wars. No it's not my first RTS, it's not even my first RTS on the Xbox.[QUOTE="user_nat"]I think people are over estimating halo wars sales potential.SpruceCabooseThe name Halo on it is good enough for a sizable sales base. yea but not an rts I feel this game will hurt the halo name and halo salez from now on.
I don't think this will sell that good it will sell ok but not so good it's not really doing good in the preorder like killsone 2 is.
