First FPS with: up/down aiming and mouselook, dedicated multiplayer servers, dedicated multiplayer maps, environmental storytelling, and an emphasis on story.

MW2 is awesome though. It had the best music in the series (Hans Zimmer).
It had the best online multiplayer out of any game ever! i man seriously what game ever gave you the ability to end an online match ( nuke)? only mw2 did that!.. argh the memories of playing mw2 with friends and competing between each other on who gets a nuke first.. so much fun, no one cares i know but i have probbaly called in over 600 online nukes in that game. i miss it :cry:
game was fast, it had overpowered weapons, people died so fast, etc.. was so much fun

The problem with Marathon is it's kind of stuck half way between Doom and HL/CS, so it's hard to justify kicking off a STALKER or UT for it. But yeah, you'd need an honourable mentions section for Marathon, Quake, Wolfenstein, TF2, Tribes, CoD, etc.

Not bad. I haven't played everything there, but I take no issue with any of their picks. And as much as I'm an Unreal fanboy, Quake deserves to be on there somewhere. Crysis as well. Oh well.
