Gears 3 looks closer to Uncharted 1 than Uncharted 3

I laugh at the idiots who say words like, "destroy, worlds away, no chance" when comparing the graphics of the 2 CONSOLE games. ocstew

I have to agree with this man.

Ofcourse Gears 3 will look better then UC1 (if not, Epic fail), but the difference isnt that big

Uncharted 1 doesn't look better than this, note this is an execution attack and as shown in the Gears 3 videos the camera always changes to let you to see what you do to finish your enemy, just like how you have full camera control in Uncharted games.

Personally, now that I have seen Gears 3 beta for myself I think it looks better than Uncharted 2 (which I have also played a lot of). I don't know if Gears 3 single player will look better than Uncharted 3 single player or not because we haven't seen enough of either game yet. I don't think what we have seen of the multiplayer in Uncharted 3 looks that different than the multiplayer in Uncharted 2.

But UC2 and UC3 is a complete different sort. They are easily comparable to that picture you showed. UC3 outdoes it.

ofcourse that's Bullshot. go watch the Chateu trailer in HD on Eurogamer or DigitalFoundry and you can clearly see the foliage are jaggied mess and shimmering from MLAA is aweful in motion, especially aweful on the foliage

Did uncharted 2 really sale that many Copies, I'm hearing 8 million really? I know single player games normally don't sale that much it had to been bundled to hell to sale 8 million. I call bs on 8 million.

UC3>GeOW3 it's just the way it is. Naughty Dog > Epic. Epic has only made a few good games i.e. Unreal 1 & 2. then it went downhill from there. Naughty Dog, on the other hand, kept on improving from one IP to the next. from Crash, to Jak, to Uncharted. can't wait what IP they'll give birth to when the PS4 is released!rumbalumba

OK I was wrong about that one but the ingame shot doesn't look much different at all. It has the same gorgeous HDR lighting, texture quality as the BS and MLAA does a pretty good job of smoothing out the edges. I don't see a jaggy mess anywhere. Bear in mind this is a capture from a 720p clip so the direct frame buffer grab should be a lot more better in quality especially the texture.

To be honest I consider this A BIG LEAP in terms of graphics for Uncharted. Among Thieves looked amazing for a 2009 game...but it obviously had jaggies here and there. I made a thread about it not long ago. And these pics only re-confirms my statements. This looks magnificent.

Plus, These photos were all in-game gameplay photos. These are direct feed photos from the chateu gameplay.

Lets just say it already. UC3 has produced the absolute best graphics on consoles, once again. :P

And as hard as it is to imagine....this was all in-game :o

Games can still overlooks these things and manage to exhibit amazing graphics. Epic did it, and Crytek did it. And Naughty Dog is in the same exact path it seems. Though, I expect UC3 to have vastly less jaggies than UC2 looking at these shots.

After playing the beta, I'm not so sure, TC. I think it looks just as good as Uncharted 2 online, but I'll have to compare them side-by-side to get an accurate analysis. :P
