Denial. So Awesome. You make it look like Uncharted 2 features Direct X11 effects. Because seriously me and a million other people aren't seeing it.

All this doesn't even matter crysis 2 is the new benchmark. Currently, I don't see GEOW 3 surpassing it.

I'm going to put serious no life hours into the beta starting Monday. Tried to play Gears 2, it was still pretty wack. I need me some Gears!

Beta is basically Gears of War 2 but slightly faster paced.

Don't make a judgment until you put serious time into the beta, I know a lot of people who were like "OMG GAEM IZ S0O0 GUUD!" and then once that shiny new game feeling wore off, they changed their mind about it.

On the bright side, the lag is pretty non-existant.

All this doesn't even matter crysis 2 is the new benchmark. Currently, I don't see GEOW 3 surpassing it.

I'm curious but will the beta be coming out for everyone or is it just for certain people?

jdt532, rendering all of that grass is very fillrate intensive which the RSX just can't afford in high end PS3 games. If the PS3 had a fillrate like the PS2... You would be seeing Gears level grass in any Uncharted game or multiplat.

But if you could make a game just about rendering grass on the PS3 and nothing else...

You would get Flower.

It is an obvious exclusive vs. exclusive thing. We all remember how the Crysis 2 vs. KZ3/UC2 went, and overall it seemed to be in the lems favor. W/ reviewer/DF/Lof comments. Also, with UC2 having been it for so long it is pretty hard to transition so quickly, especially when all these games are so close graphically. Honestly IMO, The top games graphically since KZ2 or maybe even GEOW 2 look almost the same(overall).

As good as the lighting looks in Gears 3 and Uncharted 3... I don't see it beating Crysis 2 in lighting effects.

all I got from this thread is that people think this games multiplayer looks better than uncharted 2's single player. no.... looks a little better than uncharted 2's multiplayer, that's it. of course multiplayer won't look as good as single player, texture resolutions have to be reduced and there's no aa.

single player gears of war 3 will look better than uncharted 2 though. and will be on par more or less with uncharted 3.

Uncharted 2 is by far one of my favorite console games, but I do think that this game looks better now that I have seen more of it.

only sad and pathetic cows say Uncharted 2 is the game still the game to beat. that means nothing since they're obviously trying to hang onto to win in some category because they lost ground in everything else there is. its not a benchmark...its just all they have left...and they don't even have it left.
